Hi chicas! This is Jess reporting directly from GL’s fashion closet. I’ll be posting about my weekly fashion obsessions every Friday. It gets better: They’ll all be items under $20, so when that babysitting cash starts burnin’ a hole in your pocket, you’ll know where to head first!

so i have pimples on my armpit and some down the side of my body, i sometimes put lotion on there to get it to go away but it's not working, what should i do?

Hey Doll,

You might want to see a dermatologist to get a professional's opinion, but you might need to switch up the lotion you're using. Try one with alpha hydroxy acids to help get rid of them!

OK i have asked this question soo many times this week but it hasn't been answered so PLEASE answer!!!!
Tomorrow i am going on my first date. We r just going to the movies so i am thinking about wearing this black and grey plaid shirt with a bright blue tanktop, just plain jeans, and then purple converse....but its going to be rainy and his parents r taking us(since we can't drive yet lol) so i want to look good cause i want them to like me...so do u think that's an ok outfit? oh and any tips because i am soooo scared!!! thanks!!!!

That sounds like a cute outfit! It's casual but still put together, comfy but still colorful and "special" for the occasion. More importantly, if that's your style, rock it! You should totally wear an outfit that expresses who you are as a person. That way, he can get to know you even better on the first date As for calming those nerves, read this article for 5 first date "do's" to have things go smoothly. Just be yourself and try to take deep breaths, let the convo progress naturally, and enjoy it. HAVE FUN!!!

This guy gives me compliments like telling me I'm beautiful and stuff everyday and I'm pretty sure he's flirting because ppl have asked me if we were going out, but today we were in the lab and my group of three started talking about dating and he said he doesn't date girls in our grade and its probably because he looks a lot older for his age. I'm very, very confused by him. Can u help me out?

That totally sounds like flirting. But for some people, flirting doesn't necessarily mean they want to date. I know it sounds totally weird - like why would you flirt with someone if you didn't want that? - but some people, especially guys, see it a little different. He could just enjoy flirting with girls (you included), complimenting you, and being around you...but doesn't want to take things to the next level. Another possibility is that he's just being friendly and wants to get closer as friends instead! Or he wanted to seem "cool" and "grown up" in front of you by saying he doesn't date anyone in your grade. It's kinda hard to tell exactly what scenario is the right one... so keep hanging out with him and talking/flirting to see how things go!
