Here are some super-simple and so-delish morning options to take you through your week with more get-up-and-go. Yum!

 

Sunday

Scramble two eggs with three of your favorite veggies and a little low-fat cheese. Serve open-faced on whole-wheat toast.

 

Monday

Toast two whole-wheat waffles, and top with fresh berries (or you can buy frozen berries and leave them in the fridge the night before to defrost). Perfect with a glass of milk!

 

Tuesday

Can’t live without cereal in the morning? Go for the whole-grain kind, then add low-fat milk, a sliced banana and a fistful of raisins.

 

Wednesday

Grab two slices of whole-wheat bread, and toast ‘em. Then top with peanut butter and sliced apple, and add a little sprinkling of cinnamon. It’s practically dessert!

 

Thursday

Have a bowl of regular oatmeal sprinkled with raisins, cinnamon and a half a tablespoon of brown sugar. Serve it up with a glass of 100-percent fruit juice.

 

Friday

Take a plain or vanilla yogurt, and top with banana and strawberries (or another fave fruit).  Add a teensy bit of honey and quarter cup of high-fiber granola or toasted walnuts to give it some crunch.

 

Saturday

Take advantage of having a little more time to cook up something special, like gingerbread pancakes or crepes.

Mod Mod Mod do you have any advice for the veggies to put in for Sunday? Also, do you have a recipe for gingerbread pancakes?




Hey girlie,

My fave veggies to put in an omelette are broccoli, spinach, avocado and mushrooms! But you could put anything: tomatoes, onions, red peppers, green peppers, potatoes, zucchini, olives, asparagus... the possibilities are endless! And here's the gingerbread pancake recipe you're looking for Smile

I'm having a party at a froyo place, but one of my bffs is allergic to gluten and she is vegan. Is frozen yogurt gonna fit her diet? And if not what are some fun party fruits and veggies I could have their???? Thx!




Hey girlie,

I know some frozen yogurt places are gluten free (like Pinkberry), but it's always safer to actually call the place and ask. Ask them if they have gluten free froyo flavors because a member of your party will need to stick to that diet. See what they say! If not, bring lots of sweet fruits like strawberries, blueberries, kiwis, grapes, etc. And you could buy a single container of gluten free frozen yogurt from a supermarket so she can still enjoy the fun! Smile

MOD MOD MOD. My family buys healthy foods. I enjoy them but I have a habit of buying chips, cookies etc. how can I be more healthy? I like having snacks between meals so what are some healthy foods that are yummy that will make me loose maybe 2-3 pounds and keep my shape? Thanks Smile




Hey girl,

Snacking between meals isn't bad at all ... just replace those bad junk foods with tasty healthy snacks instead! I love a handful of almonds, dried apricots and mangos, granola bars (KIND and Special K are my fave brands), a healthy veggie shake, a piece of fruit, a cup of yogurt, a small bowl of cereal or oatmeal, apple sauce, "smart" popcorn, etc. The ideas are endless! Smile

Hey girlie,

Absolutely! You could use any other dried fruit or fresh fruit to do the trick. Try Craisins (dried cranberries), sliced bananas, dried apricots, sliced grapes, strawberries, or raspberries! Smile
