Cymphonique
Miller knows a thing or two
about confidence, having fun and music. She is, after all, rapper
Romeo’s li’l sis. And her role as Kacey Simon in the new
How
To Rock series is
positioning this 15-year-old triple threat to be Nick’s new Queen
Bee.
The
show, which premieres tomorrow
night at 8:30
p.m. ET/PT, centers around
Kacy who, after being thrown down the social ladder for getting
braces and glasses, joins the band Gravity 5 as the lead singer,
using music as a way to show her confidence.
We got a
chance to chat with Cymphonique about her hilarious new gig (which
we’re definitely not going to miss!). Check it out…
GL:
Tell us a little bit about your character Kacey.
Cymphonique:
Kacey is definitely funny and seems to find herself in hilarious
situations. She can be a bit controlling at times. But at the end of
the day, she has a big heart and just wants to do the right thing.
What’s
one of the funniest things that has happened on set so far?
In
one episode, I actually had cheese and macaroni dumped on my head.
The whole cast got in this pool of macaroni and we made cheese angels
and cheese hats.
Was
it legit macaroni and cheese?
Yes.
And I thought they weren't going to use real macaroni. I had cheese
in my ear and in the back of my hair. We all had to take a shower
directly after.
We
heard you’re also contributing to the music on the show. What kind
of songs can we expect to hear?
There's
just about a new song each episode, which is really exciting because
it's something fresh each time. There's a ballad, a lot of party
songs, upbeat dance songs. We have a duet coming up soon, too.
Which
is your favorite How
To Rock
song so far?
I
really like the message in "Only You Can Be You." It's
telling everyone to love themselves for who they are, follow their
dreams, and don't be so caught up in what other people think about
you. Your beauty is within.
Be
sure to catch Cymphonique during the How
To Rock
premiere tomorrow night at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on Nickelodeon.
