Dear James - A love letter

Dear James,

I have tried to write this letter a thousand times with no luck. But I finally think this is the one.

I like you.

I really really like you.

I've liked you from the day in sixth grade, when our teacher put us next to each other. Back then, I now realize, I thought you were the most annoying thing. But now...

And back in seventh, when I found out we were in the same class, my insides jumped for joy. Maybe I'll sit by you!

All the good, foolish times we had... I wish I could relive them all. See you again. Have the same dreams. Wake up and feel excited because I get to see you again.

I remember another time, now, when you threw a marker in my direction. It was supposed to hit another, but it hit me. Once I heard it was you, it didn't hurt as much.

I wish you had felt the same way.

For a period of time, I though you felt like me. But now I know better.

Now that we're all going our separate ways, I thought...that just maybe...well, whatever. Now that I know you don't feel the same way, so what's the difference?

I knew I loved you.
