This V-Day weekend, treat your fam, your sleepover sistahs or just Y-O-U to a breakfast so decadent it’s more like dessert. Turn spectacular red velvet pancakes (thanks for the recipe, Nestle!) into edible Valentines by grabbing heart-shaped cookie cutters. Indulge, girlies—Heart Day only comes once a year!

Ingredients
(makes 10 pancakes)

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
3 tablespoons NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Baking Cocoa
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 large egg
1 cup reduced-fat buttermilk or lowfat milk
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon red food coloring
Heart-shaped pancake cutters or cookie cutters (optional)
Optional garnishes: butter, powdered sugar, maple syrup and fresh berries

Directions

1. Combine flour, sugar, baking cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt in large bowl; stir well.

2. Whisk egg, buttermilk, butter, vanilla extract and food coloring together in large bowl. Add to flour mixture; stir to combine. Allow mixture to sit for 5 minutes (this produces more tender pancakes).

3. Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Brush with a little oil or butter. Add about ¼ cup batter to skillet. Cook for about 2 minutes or until bubbles start to form on top. Flip and cook for 1 to 2 minutes or until bottom is lightly browned. Serve immediately with butter, powdered sugar, syrup and berries.

Cook’s Tip: If using pancake or cookie cutters, be sure to coat with a little oil so the pancakes don’t stick. Place cutters in skillet and pour batter into cutters. Remove cutters before flipping.

Continued on from my last post, we've been dating for 3 months. But we've never given gifts or anything before, like not for Christmas or anything. And neither of us are really extremely romantic people, so I would feel making something butttt I dont know. I was thinking I could decorate his locker, but then again, it might be a little too public and embarrassing for him.

Hey girly!

Hmm he might appreciate and feel flattered by the gesture, so I'd say it's worth a shot. But if you think he's really shy and not really into making a big deal of occasions like Valentine's Day or birthdays, then maybe you could decorate it a little and try something else.

MOD MOD MOD !
My boyfriend brought up valentines day and he said "you never have to buy me anything" and I told him he didnt either then he said "But I will either way. I know what to get you. But I'm not going to say what." then I mentioned a previous convo where we said we would feel like a jerk if the other person gave a gift and we didnt but he said "oh yeah but you never have to give me anything. I dont even want anything. and its a valentines day tradition. the guy buys stuff for the girl. and the girl doesnt buy anything" sooo my question is, do you think I should still buy him something? Am I obligated to at least make something? I dont know what to do! Thanksss.

Hey chica!

He sounds like a sweet guy. While you're not obligated to give him something, maybe when you know or think of something to get him, you could just get it for him without an occasion. I personally would feel like getting my boyfriend something especially if I know he's getting me something. <3
