I liked this guy since last year, when he wasn't even close to being popular. We were friends but now that he's popular it's harder to talk to him! How do I deal?

Hey girly! Teenage years can be hard because social status’ change and people think that it should change how they act and who they hang out with. Try chatting him up online or find him when he is walking alone from school. By himself he doesn’t have his crew to dictate him and he can make him own decisions.

When people suddenly become popular they don’t know how to deal and think that it is okay to only talk to their new friends, and they forget about their old ones. Remind him how close you two were and build that friendship back up before you move beyond that. If he still seems to blow you off then maybe he has changed, and not for the better

Hi i need help or advice..or both......Im alone for valentines day once again. i have never had a boyfriend and i am really getting down about it. all my friends have boyfriends and have plans with them on Valentines Day. I am so lonely. i never get asked out by guys and im almost positive no one likes me. im and over weight person and im not affraid to admit it and i know hat it is one thing that pushes guys away form me. I wish just someone would give me a little sign of hope for me to get a boyfriend. i want to experience the feeling of really loving someone that my friends talk about. what i want to ask is do you have any advice for me about how i can cope with my depression on V-day? and what is some advice for getting noticed by guys...i really hope to hear back from you soon because i just have lost up all hope and i need someone to help me get through this romantic time of the year.

Honey Valentines day is stupid. Its just a holiday where candy and card companies try to make money. It took me a suuuper long time to get a boyfriend. I was 17 when I had my first kiss. So theres nothing wrong with being single at your age. Its better for it to take a while and have it be real then to have a ton of worthless relationships ya know? This is how you cope with Valentines day - put on your favorite music and dance all around your room. Youll get a good work out and it will make you feel better. You dont need a boy to feel good about yourself. Focus on you hon. The rest will fall into place. xoxo kerra

ok, so my BGF, who is also my crush, asked me to go see a movie. i thought it was just as friends, but hes telling all his friends that we are going out on a date. is that weird?

There was this guy that I liked in 8th grade, & once he found out, 4 the rest of the year he was either rly mean when he talked 2 me, or just completely ignored me. By beginning of freshman year I was completely over him. I was walking to bio last Thurs, & I have 2 pass his locker to get there. I was planning on walking right by as usual, but then he looks up & says hey watsup? At first I was thinking wait are u talking 2 me? Cuz I still thought he hated me. But I chatted with him 4 like 3 or 4 minutes that day & we had a normal, perfectly nice convo. I even briefly apologized 4 last year cuz we rly didn't get off on the right foot. He said he didn't even remember what happened, & not to worry about it. Also he looks at me whenever I walk by his locker, but I nvr paid much attention to that until now. Do u think he might like me? I think he might, but I'm scared to start anything bcuz of how last year went...

Ouch! I don't blame you, that totally hurts to be snubbed by a guy after you put all your feelings out there. It sounds like he's interested again though - whether it's as a friend or a crush. It's hard to tell based on a few glances and one convo, so just take things slow and see what happens over time. He might start flirting with you, talking to you even more often, glancing at you...or this might have just been a "social" day for him. No one can tell right now! So pay attention to his actions while also being casual about the whole thing. The more contact you have with him, the better idea you'll get of his feelings for you

Try saying something like, "I have an idea! We should try out that new pizza place this weekend. I'm gonna ask Julie and Ashley - wanna ask your friends too?" Just make it like a casual group thing - not an intense "IT'S TIME TO MEET MY FRIENDS SO DON'T BE NERVOUS OK" event, ya know? ;) It's your relationship too, so give it a try and make it happen!
