I did school cheerleading and I really want to do competition. It's a 1,000 + dollar to do it. How can I convince my parents to let me do it?




Hey girlie,

You have to show them you're responsible and dedicated to cheerleading. Do you research on competition, talk to people at school who have done it, get info from an adult/older person (maybe your cheerleading coach or squad captain), and present it to your parents in a mature way. Tell them you understand the cost is a LOT but you're really, really serious about this and you want to challenge yourself by taking cheerleading in a new direction. Tell them you'd help out with the cost in any way possible (maybe sacrificing a birthday gift this year, giving up your weekly allowance, not going so crazy with back-to-school clothes shopping in August, etc.) because you really want this. Be calm and collected - don't get emotional if they say no or that they have to think about it. Just show them how much it means to you and how much you'd love it. Then hope for the best! <3

MOD!MOD!MOD all my freindss keep txting my fwds that say make awish blah blah balh. so on one i make a with before reading the whole thing, that i will be an amazing singer and then i read the rest of the message and it said if i dont send that message 10 times in the next 2 mins the wish will be the oppisite! but i have a limit on my txting. the message was so long to and it had a picture AND music with it. i tell my friends to stop but they keep doing it. because of this i had to take ALL of my money out of my collage acount to pay my phone bill WHAT DO I DO! the messages really scare me to...........!

 

Hey adribear, try making it really clear again to your friends that you don't want those messages. See if you can log into the settings of your phone and block out those spam messages. Google how to stop receiving those messages and include the type of phone you have. I know AT&T has specific rules on how you can block them. If all else fails, just be sure to delete the messages as soon as you get them. Hope this helps! Xoxo

This is a very bad idea. You should not be talking to this person that you do not physically know and especially should not be giving him any of your private information. It is probably best to stop talking to him completely. Online dating a stranger is never a good idea.

I'm going ice skating with the guy I like tmrw and it's a outdoor rink. It's like insanely cold outside so I have to wear layers! What do you think I can wear tht wud b rly cute but rly warm to?! Ice skating is SUCH a cute, flirty thing to do with a crush! But yep, that cold can be an issue sometimes....but I used to ice skate competitively so I have dressing for the rink down pat! I'd probably go with a pair of skinny jeans, two pairs of thick socks, and a brightly colored tank top under a brightly colored cable knit sweater. Since it's outside, you probably won't work up enough of a sweat to take your coat off...but if you do, at least you know you'll look adorable underneath! Then, throw on a fun coat (if you have a warm winter coat with a cool pattern, fun color, or different shape, use it now so you stand out!). Don't forget those gloves, a scarf, and a hat - I know it might seem like overkill, but it'll be WAY better to feel warm and comfy. That way, you can totally focus on your crush and giving off the best impression Smile Have fun, love!!

MODDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so im the kind of girl who will be really excited to start something then just get lazy after im half way done. now, im making a scarf on my knifty knitter. im not even half way done but it looks pretty good. i just dont know how to stay motivated.

You gotta keep your goal in mind! Keep visualizing the end result - a gorgeous scarf you'll be able to wear all winter to jazz up your wardrobe. And an added bonus? When people compliment you on it, you can tell them YOU made it! That's total motivation there. It's ok to take breaks if you get bored (and it's ok to take a couple days off to switch to another project), but constantly remind yourself of that end goal and I think you'll be way more excited to finish it Smile

It's cool to make stuff yourself out of a kit, but it would be cheaper to run down to the thrift store and find a bunch of cool jewelry you could take apart or spice up.
