Why is my ex being such a jerk?


 
This guy and I were going out, and a week later he dumped me. Now, he's being a big jerk to me! What does this mean?


His Answer: “Guys can easily change their mind because of their friends' opinions,” says Bennett, 14. “Or, he just didn't want to be in a relationship and doesn't want you to think you two could get back together.”

Decoded: Even though you may not think it, guys care about what other people think – especially when it comes to their friends' opinions about the girls they like. If he's not that easily swayed by his friends, it's very likely he just didn't want to commit and thought being a jerk would help you move on faster.


Your Move: Yes, it was a total jerk move and you have a right to be upset, but don’t let it keep you down. If he dumps you without a second thought, and hurts your feelings just to push you away, then take his hint and find a guy who doesn't think being cruel is kind.

MOD MOD MOD ok So My Bf Dumped me like 3 weeks ago and i still Miss Him ...I Tried liking other guys but that didn't help and i tried just to stop thinking of him but then This may sound dumb But I Actually Dream About him when im sleeping!!?? He Dumped Me Cause I Was So Nervous to be his Gf I Didn't act like one so now I Really wan't him back and I Don't know how to say it to him And also I Know Being A Gf Is just Being Yourself But that's hard for me cause i get so nervous I Start to avoid him! Can You Please Help !

Hey girl,

It's normal to be nervous, but if your nerves are getting to you to the point of avoiding him, that's not a good sign -- you should be comfortable enough to be yourself around him! It's okay to miss him and not like other guys yet -- just do stuff with your friends and fam to distract yourself until you don't think about him so much anymore! If you do get back together, remind yourself there's nothing to be nervous about (you already know he likes you!) and relax!

ok so when my ex and i broke up we stayed friends but now that we go to the same school he never ever talks to me. ( we used to go to the same school and then he moved) like i walk by him every morning to go to homeroom and he just doesnt talk to me at all. Before school started the 8th grades had a meeting and he sat next to me. So i guess my question is whats up and why is he not talking to me?

 

Hey girl! It's hard to tell, but it seems like he might be conflicted. Maybe now that you are going to the same school and seeing each other every day, he might be having feelings for you again. You could do a few different things. You could say a simple "hey" to him the next time that you see him, you could talk to him outside of school to see what's up, or you could give him some space and see what happens. If you want to clear things up with him, I would send him a text after school and just see what's going on. Otherwise, you can just back off a bit and see if he starts talking to you again once he is more comfortable with the idea of going to school with you.

MOD MOD MOD Last year my friend was diagnosed with an Mentel illness and she was out of school for 32 days and she wouldn't tell us anything me and my friends were being detectives trying to figure it out. On the last day she came back to school still no answers when she finally did tell us over the summer we were made at her for lying (she said she had an amonia) now we're back at school she is in a special room and when ever she is over my house she is so demanding I told her I couldnt treat her any differently than my other friends .Was I fight to do that ? What should I do? Me and my friends were and are trying to break it off but I don't think any of us can dour I need HELP !!!!!!

 

Hey Juliacar, mental illnesses can be a lot for a person to handle. She may not be able to always be in control of her actions because of her condition. So with some things you may have to give her a pass. Of course this doesn't excuse her from everything, so you just have to find a balance. Talk to her to see how things are going for her. By talking to her you might be able to understand why she does the things she does. Hope this helps! Xoxo
