Quick Q of the week: My fitness goal for this year is to get a flat stomach. How much cardio do you recommend I do to get rid of the belly fat?

 

Wellness expert and CEO of girlsgonesporty.com Laura Williams says, “Teens should aim for 60 minutes of activity a day, but try to make at least 30 minutes of that cardio - dancing, walking, jogging, etc. Then, make sure you're eating healthy foods, like fruits and veggies.”

 

Make it happen! Need a li’l inspiration? “A great way to stick to healthy habits is to schedule them into your weekly planner every single week, then make sure you're treating them like any other appointment,” Laura says. “One thing I did when I was in high school was post sticky notes around my room with motivational sayings. They were always front-and-center so I couldn't ignore them and I was more likely to follow through.”
