Ed. Obsession Under $20: Detachable collars


 
A few years ago I had a serious obsession with polos. It was so bad that I had one in every single color of the rainbow – no lie. Ever since I reached my ROYGBIV quota, I've shied away from anything with a folded collar.


My mindset changed when the Peter Pan collars appeared on the runway. I adore that these round-edged collars are much daintier and far less severe than their boyish polo counterparts. Plus, the option to get a detachable collar makes it easier switch up your look in a flash.


Think you'll only wear it once? Pair it with plain tees to printed dresses; under a blazer or over cardi. You really can't go wrong. So cute, I might just get one in every single color. Well, let's just start with this presh white lace piece first.

I made a detachable collar. It's small and white, with a blue ribbon tie, and a large navy button in the center. I made it by hand and I'm quite proud!

I am going shopping with my friend tomorrow. I was really excited but she just told me her other friend is coming. I like her friend but when those two are together i might as well not even be there. Last time she invited a friend to go out with us without asking me and i talked to her about it she got uncomfortable and we ended up not going out. What should i do?

You gotta be outgoing and make sure they KNOW you're there! Talk a lot and get yourself in the convos, no matter what. If you sit there quietly, sure it'll seem like you might as well not be there. But they're not going to stop having fun just because you're pouting! Embrace the situation - she's inviting you out because she wants to hang out with you. By speaking up and acting like their friend, you'll be enjoying it as much as you can!

For my normal days, I keep it simple: 

1. Concealer to touch up under-eye circles and pimples.

2. Eyeliner on my upper lash line for definition (but smudged so it's not too dramatic)

3. A coat of mascara

4. Lip gloss

Simple! For movies or other nighttime/weekend outings, you could try adding a touch of bronzer, a lipstick, colored eyeshadow, or sparkly shimmer Smile
