Since sculpting is about muscle control rather than momentum, you want to do these moves as slowly as you can. Begin each sesh with a 5-minute warm-up, like walking or jogging in place. When your finished, stretch your bod out to give your muscles some relief.
Want flat abs? Try this move...
The Plank
Start by positioning yourself with your hands and knees on the floor. Drop your hips and walk your hands forward so that your knees, hips, head and shoulders form a diagonal line. Make sure your butt neither sinks nor pikes up too high. Flatten your lower abs by pulling in your bellybutton, but avoid pulling in so much that your spine curves. Hold this flattened contraction for 60 seconds before moving on to the final step.
Finish by keeping the lower abs tight to stabilize your pelvis and spine. Slowly life your right knee up, then your left knee, and straighten both legs behind you. You should be propped up on your toes and hands, with your body forming a diagonal line from head to heels. Keep your torso stable, and continue pulling your belly button in while breathing normally. Hold for 15 seconds, working your way up to 2 minutes over a period of several weeks (add 5 to 10 more seconds each time).

@VNJ99 The best way to get healthy is by going vegetarian. It may sound crazy but it's true! Some people have lost over 150 pounds from a vegetarian diet, but I doubt you need to lose that many! I sure you look great! But if you want to get those abs we all want I would say go veggie and maybe run for 15 minutes a day. Also check out some other workouts on girlslife! they are really helpful! http://www.girlslife.com/post/2010/11/04/five-moves-for-flat-abs.aspx is my favorite! Hope this helps!

An even better, and harder, way to do this exercise is to do it on your elbows with your hands together. It's also good for your arms and legs. I would start at 30 seconds and eventually work your way up.

i do gymnastics and we do everyday at least 100 v ups and 100 reverse crunches plus with 3 hours of gymnastics and i still have a stomache while most of the other girls have a sixpack and i work twice as hard as most of them what can i do??????????

I have been working out to get in shape Mod mod mod!!!! Reading ChicGeek's comment I thought about something. I don't drink enough milk ( I drink water more) . Even my doctor told me I needed more milk in my diet. My problem is I just can't take those pills, it is hard for me to keep that routine, and drinking milk from a cup isn't fully my style. I don't have a problem with the tast of milk..... Help me!!!! Thx.

MOD MOD MOD! Is it OK to drink a lot of milk(or sometimes most of the time/sometimes) and not much water? Hey babe, There's nothing wrong with drinking more milk than water. You should still be drinking water, however. It's what your body fuels itself off of most properly. Milk carries extra nutrients and calcium, but depending on which type of milk you're drinking, it may carry a few extra fats and calories. Jordan S.
