We’re sooo close to spring, we can practically feel the
sunshine and smell the flowers! If you’re going a li’l stir crazy as winter
draws to a close, take advantage of Leap Day with these pretty ridiculous (but,
come on, totally fun) ideas to let your inner wild child run free. After all,
it only comes once every four years.
Throw a trick on a trampoline
Grab a group of girls and guys, sit down in a circle and
play “Down by the banks of the hanky panky.”
Find a bucket of chalk and play a game of hopscotch
Do a set of 10 frog jumps (or jump squats)
Watch Amy Adams in Leap Year
Dig up two jump ropes and a few friends, and go double-dutch
Raining? Rock your rainboots and go puddle jumping
Play leapfrog with your sibs
Do a late-winter Polar Bear Plunge. Bonus points if you can
raise money for charity!
Head over to a local elementary school or park and play
four-square
Impromptu dance party! Be sure to add “Shout” and “Cha Cha
Slide” to your playlist.
What are you doing for Leap Day?
