Is he unromantic... or just a jerk?


 
So my boyfriend isn't always very romantic or sweet. More often than not, he's insulting me. Is he just too afraid to be romantic or is he mean?


His Answer: “Guys can act weird when it comes to romance because they think it makes them seem uncool and less manly,” says Bennett, 14, “but if he is straight up mean than that is just not right.”


Decoded: Guys think that just because romance movies are girly, they can’t have a romantic side as well. They are too concerned about loosing their “man card” to take you out for a nice dinner or even tell you that he loves you. Although he may not be into the lovey dovey stuff, that does not give him a right to be rude to you, he can still be nice and not romantic.


Your Move: Assure your guy that you wont think less of him after romancing you for an evening. A nice dinner and movie would be much appreciative. Keep in mind that he may just be embarrassed around him friends so try to get him alone and dig the romance out of him. But if he is just straight up mean and doesn’t seem to care about you, ditch the dude and find someone who actually wants to take you to see The Vow.

There's this guy that I REALLY like. BUt, I don't want everybody to know that I like him. I sit right next to him in ALL of my classes, we have the exact same schedule, and, of course, he's also my bgf. Everybody thinks that I like him! And they all say the same thing, you guys are always talking, and you would make a cute couple, and, are you two dating? How do I get so that they don't know that I like him?




Hey girlie,

Since you DO like him, you don't want to start ignoring him to prove your point! That would totally mess up your friendship with him. Try to tone down the flirting a little so they don't get suspicious - save compliments, hugs, and playful teasing for texts/online or when you're one-on-one. Just try to treat him like a normal friend and stay comfy/calm around him. But if you really do like him...it might not be such a bad thing that people know! Smile

Hey girlie,

If he flirts without actually saying "I like you," try to tolerate it. And whatever you do, DON'T flirt back! You don't want to lead him on, so just try to smile and stay quiet. If you can't, be friendly and treat him like your other friends. If he does say he likes you, asks you out, or anything more obvious than just a little flirting, be honest with him. Tell him you really appreciate it but you think you'd be much better as friends. Say you're sorry - and try to move on without any awkwardness. He might be hurt at first, but it's way better to be truthful than to make him think he has a chance! <3

1) (I'm twelve) I go to EXTREMENES to keep my skin clear, I ponytail my hair before bed, wash it twice a day, moisturize ect. So I like never get zits. Today, I woke up with a major breakout! Why?
2) I won dec. week one giveaway and I haven't gotten it. Giveaway rules say they're not responsible for it after 12 weeks, but I just found out! Should I still contact them?




Hey girl,

1. Breakouts can be caused by all sorts of things! It could be something as simple as stress causing it, or it could be a shift in hormones/skin type that is causing "new" breakouts. Make sure you're washing with a gentle cleanser once a day that works with your skin - for example, a cleanser for oily skin if you have oily skin. If you wear makeup, wash it off thoroughly every night! Don't skip! And try not to touch your face during the day. You can transfer oils to your skin, which can clog pores. Another thing that could be causing the breakouts is the moisturizer you're using or a new soap you've switched to. Try cutting certain things out of your routine and seeing how your face reacts. If it's just a couple pimples, no sweat. But if it keeps up and is all over your face, ask your doc for more suggestions Smile

MOD MOD MOD So this guy said he liked me, and I told him I liked him. The problem is he never texts me first, except for twice. When we talk hes flirty and seems happy, but he also always has to go first. I know he's busy and stuff, but still. He's popular and lots of girls like him, but hes kind of shy about liking people. I tried not texting for a week and he never texted me. I feel like I'm being played..Whats up with him? ):

 

Hey TokyoGirl98, maybe he's trying to balance talking to you, other girls and all his work. And remember you don't have to talk to someone everyday, and that if you go a few days without talking to them that doesn't mean they don't like you anymore. It may be good to get a break from that person sometimes. You said he's shy about liking people, so he must really like you since he admitted it to you. I think you guys still have a connection.
