Dressy vs. casual: Which do guys prefer?


 
 
Bill: Guys love it when girls dress up. The prob? A date for which a girl dresses up usually requires a dressed-up guy. Ugh. Still, part of what makes girls so great is their amazing ability to look fab for any occasion.
 
Dave: Personally, I go for the simple, classic look—a cool suede jacket over a white tee with jeans. Of course, that doesn’t mean I want my date to go to the prom in a pair of Levi’s. Guys will appreciate your style if you appear confident in whatever you wear. So go for what makes you feel comfortable.

I really like this guy who always seemed to flirt with me even when he had a girlfriend,he broke up with her like 2 weeks ago and continues flirting. On Friday our French teacher was busy and we went to a different class and watched a boring movie. He asked me to sit with him (back corner of the classroom alone) and we got really bored so we doodled in our agendas. We both had fun doodling,lol. I'll be near him and I'll look up and we'll meet eyes and gaze at each other for like 15 seconds. He's really nice and funny and makes me smile. We have so much fun together. Does he have a crush on me too? And if he does,what's her waiting for?




Hey girlie,

He totally sounds like he likes you. He seems like he likes your company, enjoys flirting with you, and likes being around you. Those are all good signs! It's impossible to say what he's "waiting for" - maybe since it's almost summer he doesn't want to get involved, maybe he's nervous, maybe he's not sure you like him back, maybe he doesn't want to date right now... whatever it is, you can't force it. What you CAN do is continue flirting, becoming even better friends, and trying to subtly show him that you like him too. Only time will tell what happens - but go with the flow and you'll see! Smile

my crush told me he liked me and i told him i liked him back. but some days i talk to him just fine and others he avoids me. also recently his best friend told me he doesn't like like me. idk what to do. i don't want to flirt him up and him not even like me back. help!!

It took me a really long time to figure this out but, guys like it better when a girl is dressed down. When I would dress up and go places, guys wouldn't talk to me. But sitting in my old middle school tshirts I meet cool guys that flirt with me. And also, guys don't like when girls wear a ton of makeup.

Hey girlie,

It's tough to 100% understand ALL the signs a guy gives you. Sometimes it's easy to think he has a crush, but he's really just a friendly guy. Sometimes you think a guy doesn't like you, when actually he's just shy and not good at expressing that he does. So it's natural to sometimes feel confused! We can't tell if he likes you as a friend, like-likes you, or maybe even has more than one crush (that's normal too!) unless he tells you himself, but just try to be a good friend, keep talking and flirting, and see how things go. Smile
