Bully on the bus


 
One day I was riding the bus home, texting my friend. Then my crush, who sits behind me says "I'm gonna call that kid fatty!" I didn't say anything, because I thought he was talking about the guy who sat with him. A few minutes later, he leans over the seat and says to me "Hey FATTY!!!" I was soo humiliated my face turned red and I wanted to cry. Needless to say, I got over him pretty quickly.

There was this girl that I used to be really close friends with. Let's call her Katy. Katy was my best friend, and she used to talk about her secret crush all day. But when I talk for 2 minutes about a movie I really wanted to see with my other friends, she told me that nobody cares. Then she told me she didn't like this table at lunch where all the "cool" people sat at. Then a few weeks later she started sitting there. She totally ditched me and won't talk to me. When she talks to me, and I ignore her she is upset with me for not talking to HER. What do I do?

I know you may want to ignore her, but that won't solve anything in the end.  You really should talk it out with her one-on-one. Jordan S.

There is this girl in the class who can be a SUPER jerk and say really mean stuff to people that isn't true... She has done it to me before and I try to avoid her as well as all the other girls In my class... The boys in my class are like super nice to us girls, but they r really being kind of mean to her.. Although I don't think it's nice, I think she does deserve payback for all the swear words and mean actions she's done to us... However I do feel a little bad for her. Do I stand up for her and make myself look bad Because she has been a jerk for all those years or do I avoid the situation and let the "bullying" continue?

 

Hey girl!  In a situation like this, I would let a responsible adult in on the situation.  Like a teacher or guidance counselor.  If she starts to bully you specifically, I would recommend telling your parents as well as telling a teacher or guidance counselor.  Even though you might feel bad for her, she needs to know that how she is acting is wrong.
