Feel like you’d rather jump through flaming hoops than watch
a March Madness game? We gotta say, babe, sometimes we’re totally on your side.
That’s why we’ve come up with three easy-peasy and way fun ideas to help you go
crazy for the fabbest basketball event of the year. How’s that for a slam dunk?
Play favorites
Don’t really care who wins or loses? It’s time get invested
in the game, girlie! Pick a player at random—maybe you like his nickname, maybe
he’s got a signature move (or, if you’re following the chicas, maybe her hair
is totally awesome or she’s the spunkiest sistah on the court). It doesn’t
matter what catches your attention. Once you’ve picked your player of the year,
do your homework. Find out his stats, his strengths and weaknesses and, most
importantly, when his team is scheduled to play. Then DIY a jersey and cheer it
up.
Color guard
Torn between two teams (or a handful, or all of them)? Pick
one team to cheer for each game and get spirited. Wear team colors or create a
mani featuring their team mascot. Tie ribbons in your hair, do your makeup in
crazy hues. Whatever it takes to get you riled up and having a good time from
now through the championship game, just go with it!
Double dare challenge
So your buds have forced you to watch a game. Make the best
of it! In between chowing down on delish game-time munchies and asking your
know-it-all besties what the heck is going on, turn this showdown into an epic
truth or dare match. The next time the Wildcats score a three-pointer, your BGF
Brian’s gotta do his best kitty impersonation. And when BFF Laura’s team misses
their fifth free-throw in a row? Time to spill her crush’s name!
