Snag Isabelle's makeup from The Hunger Games premiere

 

At Monday night’s premiere, all the THG stars looked absolutely amazing in their glimmery gowns and perfectly-done hair. We especially loved Isabelle Fuhrman’s bold lip and gold eyes, offering just the perfect amount of sparkle and shine to match her dazzling personality. Molly Stern of NYX Cosmetics gave us all the deets so you can steal Isabelle’s style—and even enter to win her beauty bag!

For Face:
 Stern first prepped Isabelle's skin with a moisturizing lotion to give her a clean canvas.  She wanted Isabelle's fresh skin to shine through, so she kept the coverage light by dabbing NYX Cosmetics Shine Killer ($13) in Isabelle's T-zone and then used the NYX Cosmetics Waterproof Concealer Stick in Fair ($5.50) where she needed coverage. Next, Stern applied NYX Cosmetics Stick Blush in Tulip ($6) on her cheeks, which offered the perfect tint of color for a flushed, youthful glow. 

 

For Eyes:
 For a modern take on the classic Hollywood cat eye, Stern lined Isabelle’s upper lash line with the NYX Cosmetics Retractable Eye Liner in Blue Eyes ($5).  She then used the NYX Cosmetics Cream Shadow in Suede ($5) as a base and added sparkly gold hues over top for added glimmer. Along the lower lash line, Stern used the NYX Cosmetics Jumbo Eye Pencil in Pure Gold ($4.50) to catch the light. She finished the look with several coats of the NYX Cosmetics Provocateur mascara ($6) for extra volume. 
 

For Lips:
 Isabelle wanted a bold lip, so Stern used the NYX Cosmetics Xtreme Lip Cream in Dolly Girl ($6)  and then added a coat of clear gloss over the top – the perfect finish to Isabelle’s gorge feminine look.

I am going to (place omitted by mod for privacy) this weekend and I'm really excited. But my grandparents are going to be there... thats not a bad thing but I need some clothes idead that are flirty but grandparent friendly.




Hey girlie,

Totally understand! You want to look super cute but you also want to be modest and appropriate. Since the weather will be warm, I'd try bringing a pair of shorts that are slightly longer so you don't show too much skin (no short-shorts here, babe!), but so you also stay cool. On top, go with a fitted long sleeve tee in a bright color, a feminine chiffon top, or a tank with cardigan. A sundress with a cardigan and sandals would look super cute too! Just make sure it's not too low cut in front (or that you wear a camisole underneath, to cover up).

So sorry to ask another question! But can I use a tampon even if my period is irregular?




Sure you can! But try to listen to your body and make sure you use the correct "type" of tampon for your flow. If it's light, use the lightest absorbency. If your flow changes and it's heavier, use a regular or super. If it seems like it totally goes away, go with a light pad instead. Smile

Hey girl,

Shave in the SAME direction that the hair is growing. Usually, that's down. But it could be different on everyone, so make sure you take your time and figure it out on your own bod Smile That way, you don't cause any irritation!
