Katniss’ go-to: sweet and salty trail mix
In a large bowl, mix 1 cup of raisins, 3 cups of roasted
salted nuts and 1/2 cup of cacao nibs. Set the bowl aside. In a small saucepan
over medium heat, melt 1/4 cup of butter and 1/3 cup of honey. Pour over nut mixture, and stir to coat
thoroughly.
Spread onto a greased baking sheets and bake at 350 degrees
for 10 minutes.
Peeta’s PB&J thumbprint cookies
Place 2/3 cup of dried cranberries, 1/3 cup of peanuts, 1
tsp of coconut oil and 1 tsp of creamy natural peanut butter in a food
processor and blend until it becomes a dough. Scoop out a small amount and roll
into a one-inch ball. Press the ball onto a cookie sheet until it forms a
rounded thumbprint cookie shape. Store in the refrigerator.
Prim’s perfect crusty bread crostini
Slice a baguette and coat slices with olive oil. Broil in
oven for 3 minutes or until the bread starts to brown. Remove bread from oven
and spread fresh goat cheese on each slice. Top the goat cheese with one large
basil leaf and serve.
