Katniss’ go-to: sweet and salty trail mix

In a large bowl, mix 1 cup of raisins, 3 cups of roasted salted nuts and 1/2 cup of cacao nibs. Set the bowl aside. In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt 1/4 cup of butter and 1/3 cup of honey.  Pour over nut mixture, and stir to coat thoroughly.

Spread onto a greased baking sheets and bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes.

Peeta’s PB&J thumbprint cookies

Place 2/3 cup of dried cranberries, 1/3 cup of peanuts, 1 tsp of coconut oil and 1 tsp of creamy natural peanut butter in a food processor and blend until it becomes a dough. Scoop out a small amount and roll into a one-inch ball. Press the ball onto a cookie sheet until it forms a rounded thumbprint cookie shape. Store in the refrigerator.

Prim’s perfect crusty bread crostini

Slice a baguette and coat slices with olive oil. Broil in oven for 3 minutes or until the bread starts to brown. Remove bread from oven and spread fresh goat cheese on each slice. Top the goat cheese with one large basil leaf and serve.
