Whenever I sit down in class, I see my crush looking at me out of the corner of my eye. When I turn to look, he quickly turns to his friend Breanna. Does that mean he likes me??


His Answer: “He may just be intrigued by you and think that you are pretty and something nice to look at,” said Finn, 16, “but that is a total compliment!”


Decoded: Just because he is looking at you doesn’t mean that he is totally in love with you, it just means that he is thinking about the possible idea of it.


Your Move: Play it cool and act natural. If you catch him looking throw him a little wink to let him know that you have noticed. Don’t make too big of a gesture, let him make the move if he is ready for it.

Hey! I would just like to say thanks to the MODs for always giving great advice. You guys are great role models. Your advice has helped me a lot so thanks. Also, you for responding to my posts really fast. MODs are great because it is easy access to quick advice instead of waiting forever for someone to answer your question in an advice column.

I am too shy to flirt and talk to boys!( I can talk and flirt with boys in my school but always chicken out with boys outside my school.) When ever I see a guy that I think is cute I dare my friends to talk to him, then I always regret it later. I am in 8th grade so I think I should be able to talk to boys I don't know. How can I get my nerves to calm down so I can acually talk and flirt with cute boys?

 

Hey! just don't think of them as boys, think of them as friends! then you won't be as nervous to talk to them Smile

Okay well, I have a serious problem! There's this guy in my PE class (lets call him Bob) who is always touching me.... like, for example, during our volleyball unit when he spiked he accidentally hit me in the butt. 3 times in a row. And at lunch Bob always stares at my chest area and tries to throw things down my shirt so he can say " Oh sorry, here let me get that for you!" it's making me really uncomfortable. we used to be really good friends and he doesn't do this stuff to anyone else! please help!!!!!

 

Hey! What Bob is doing is NOT ok. Tell a teacher or other adult immediately. He clearly thinks he's being funny, but someone needs to teach him that his actions are sexual harassment.

I really like this guy, but he is dating another girl. He is dating her cause one of her friends set them up. It's really annoying seeing them in front of me talking. The only thing is he always seems so akward around her and like does even look at her when they talk and is kinda like "upset". He is really sweet to me and sometime in the hall will just start talking to me. He also dropped his pencil like twice and kinda an obvious way and i picked it up and we brushed hands. I don't know, I really like him but it seems like everyone is setting him up. Do you think he likes me?

 

 Hey! It's hard to tell if he likes you just from these examples. better wait til he doesn't have a gf though, otherwise it'll just get too complicated ;)

There is a boy in my class who like me and I don't like him, and he asked me to be his "Valentine" on Valentine's Day. I declined him politely, and walked away (he even got me a bag full of Hershey's Kisses!). I do not want to be mean, but I REALLY am not the lovey-dovey type. I only like boys as friends, and I want him to stop to try impressing me. GRRRRR
