Fell for a fool


 
Last year I had a huge crush on this boy in my class. On April 1st (April Fool's Day) I got a note from him. When I opened it up it said "I like you" written big across the page. I was so excited! The next time I saw him, I started smiling really big. That's when he came over and said, "About that note...April Fool's!" And walked away laughing. I'm way over him now.

Okay so my crush knows I like him. Of course, when my friend told him, (I told her to tell him.) he said 'I only like her as a friend.' That was a few weeks ago. Now, he waits at my locker for me, he talks to me all the time, and he teases me politely. Today, my teacher told us 'You're not just going to get good grades in this class by being PRETTY.' And he my crush looked straight at me and smiled a little. Does this means he likes me? I'm just confused, because he told me he didn't. Do you think I should tell him I like him again or not?

I wouldn't tell him you like him again - I think he got the hint the first time, because he is totally sending you signs! It's possible he's just a friendly guy, but I don't think it's a coincidence that he got more flirty after you 'fessed about your crush. Enjoy your chemistry, flirt and compliment him in subtle ways, and see where things go. Don't force it, just let him get to know you better - and things will progress naturally from there! Smile

My friend is dating a known player. He has been spreading nasty rumors about their relationship and now people think she's a slut! My friend doesn't believe it when people tell her that he's the one spreading the rumors. She thinks my other friend made them up because she's jealous! That friend has been spreading the rumors but she didn't make them up, he did. I'm so worried about both of them! Our other friends are getting involved and it's causing a ton of drama. How do I stay out of it and not take sides but also be a good friend? Help!

Unfortunately, if you've all been telling her and she isn't believing you, she probably doesn't want to believe you. She likes (or even loves) her BF, so she doesn't want to admit that he could be doing such rotten stuff. She's only going to accept it and breakup with him when SHE'S ready, so the best thing to do is to step back. Be a friend to her, but also don't try to get too involved/wrapped up in this. Stop trying to convince her until she sees it on her own. (That way, you can still stay her friend without her feeling pressured or attacked by you.) She's gotta make her own decisions...and sometimes, that means also making her own mistakes <3

Hi, so i've liked this guy for a year. I've NEVER spoken to him before until now. But everytime i do, i say something stupid! I think he likes me but when i told him he thinks im pretty he said "Yeah Sure". What does THAT mean?? Does he think im ugly? Please help! I really need it. Thanks!

Just calm down! Take a deep breath and remember he's just a boy! He's not an alien or a celebrity - he's a normal guy who likes talking about his hobbies, his interests, etc. He likes knowing that a girl is interested in what he has to say. So keep talking to him, focusing on keeping it as normal and relaxed as possible. You don't have to WOW him with some amazing convo - just ask him questions about what he likes and keep it simple. As for his answer, asking anyone "Do you think I'm pretty?" puts them in an awkward spot. He might not be super comfy with flirting just yet, so he got flustered and responded weird. If he actually says you're ugly, he is a JERK and is soooo not worth your time. But try not to put him on the spot like that anymore - just go with the flow and don't play games. Get to know him, let him get to know you, and you'll both feel more comfy around each other over time Smile

so somehow my crush found out i liked him and now he is ignoring every text i send and looks at me weird in the hallway and its really really awkward. I REALLY like him and he is someone i just cant get over. I feel like he hates me and that im not to good for him. I feel like he thinks im ugly, cause i am. What should i do??? Please???




Hey girlie,

This situation only has to be awkward if you LET it be awkward. If you walk through the halls confidently, give him a subtle smile as you pass and then look straight ahead, and chat calmly in class, he'll feel more at ease. You set the tone - if you're comfy, he won't be so tense. He's probably worried that you're going to come on too strong or be upset, but if you show him you're cool, he'll totally relax Smile
