Mod mod! I need help. I'm tall for my age and skinny but I'm really insecure. I look in the mirror in the morning and I don't like what I see. I feel ugly. To try to feel better I load my eyes in makeup and still feel ugly. I randomly eat large amounts of food especially cheese. I'm also really shy and quiet and have no guy friends and can't bring myself to talk to them. I feel as if I'm not worthy of love and that love only exsists in storybooks and my mom and stepdads divorce dosent help. What should I do

Don't be so hard on yourself! Everyone is worthy of love, and not every girl is comfortable having guy friends, so focus on the good relationships you have with other girls! If you're craving food, try going for a walk or getting up and doing something else. Exercise and distraction slow junk food cravings! It sounds like you should discuss your feelings and self-image with a trusted adult, though -- is there an older family member, teacher, guidance counselor or doctor you can speak with? My best friend's crush asked me out today and now she's really mad at me. He didn't know that my best friend liked him when he asked me out. I said no because I knew how much she liked him but now she's mad at me. I don't really get what I did wrong.

 

hey! You didn't do anything wrong. Your friend is acting immature. Tell her that she shouldn't be mad, and that if she's going to be your friend she shouldn't blame you for this boy's feelings.

Ok I like this guy let's call him Joe and I told my friend who's in all of my classes let's say Victoria, who's also in all of my classes and he always annoys me and I annoy him back but I asked him why he annoyed me all the time and he said it was because I was fun to annoy, but when we actually talk Victoria says that it seems like he likes me. My grade went on a camping trip and my bgf always makes fun of me because he thinks I like him but I've told him I don't because he would keep making fun of me forever. Then the my bgf said that Joe and I would make a cute couple then Joe said that I was the most annoying person he met. Joe and my bgf are really good friends so I have no idea if he was saying that because it was true or because he didn't want anyone to know if he liked me. PLEASE HELP ME I AM SOOOO CONFUSED!!!!!!!!!

Well the spring dance is in a few weeks and i kind of want to ask this guy. He is in 8th grade (im in 7th) but we have PE and band together. We talk all of the time and he is soo cute and makes me laugh so much. Do you think I should ask him? and How? Thanks for the help.

 

Hey chica!

From what you've said, sounds like it's a great idea to ask him to the dance, you'll have fun and you won't look back one day and wonder what could've been. You could simply say 'Do you wanna go to the spring dance with me?,' or you could go old school and handwrite a note asking him, or even a card if you'd like to go all out.

Hey, my sister ruins my birthday ever year, and I need some advice on what to do about it. For the record, she's 12 and I'm 13. Whenever my birthday rolls around, my sister decides to have a spaz. She acts like it's HER birthday, BEGS me to open presents, and won't let me eat until I do. The entire meal is "Can she open her presents now?! Why not??? What about now?? Can she, can she?" And I'm telling her to stop. I've told her countless times how she ruins my birthday, but I don't think she cares. This has gone on for at least 4 years now, and I really want to put a stop to it once and for all. I've told my parents,but they cna't do anything about it because they don't get how annyoing it is, therefore, they wont do anything about it. I've tried getting my sister to go to a friend's sleepover that day, but she'll have none of it. I actually want to wait to open my presents and not open them first thing, like, b4 I've even ate my b-day dinner. What should I do about this?

 

Hey girly!

While opening your presents earlier than you wanted isn't that big of a big deal, it can be frustrating that she doesn't see it's your presents and you get to decide when to open them. I'd say try to stick to your plan of opening them after your B-Day dinner and still enjoy your day even if she keeps bugging you. Hopefully the firmness will help her learn to be more understanding and disciplined.
