I really want to make singing YouTube videos but my mom keeps saying no! I really, really want to get famous, and nowadays that's the only way. I explained that to my mom, but she says you don't have to be online to sing. But if I want to get famous, I um, kinda HAVE to be online! She won't drive me to Hollywood or anything like that. What do I do?

Hey girl,

Not true! Sure, Biebs might've gotten noticed because of his YouTube videos, but I promise you it isn't the only way. If you want to become famous by singing, you gotta get experience and get better at it. You have to start small - take a chorus class, chat with a voice coach, audition for the school musical, scope out local town theaters and audition there. By doing this, you'll meet more people, will learn more about singing and about the industry, and can further your career. At some point when you have a good background in singing, you'll prove to your parents that you're serious about it. Then they might be able to help you going to the closest city for bigger parts or to find an agent/record label to listen to your songs. Remember - just because you make a couple YouTube videos doesn't mean you'll become famous. ANYONE can upload a vid! The important thing is the talent and hard work behind it. Work on that first <3
