Get the first look at Let It Shine

 
Finally, a bright light has been turned on and our eyes can see! Good, let the light shine because now we can watch the first look of the brand spankin’ new Disney Channel Original Movie (coming June 15!), Let It Shine, starring Coco Jones.

 

You probably know this girl as the amazingly talented Radio Disney “Next Big Thing.” And after watching this peek at Let It Shine, it is obvious Coco will really be the “next big thing!” She plays a teenage superstar singer, which definitely isn’t much of a stretch from her real life. Her character, Roxie, is putting on a songwriting contest. A shy, sweet boy named Cyrus (played by Tyler James Williams) writes an amazing song about her…and wins! The problem? The judges think the song belongs to his bestie Kris (played by Trevor Jackson).

 

Will Cyrus be able to overcome his shyness to tell the world that he wrote the song? Will he be able to get the girl before Kris steals her away? Yeah, we want to know, too!

I'm so excited for this movie and the music in it! I didn't really follow Coco Jones or vote for her in Next Big Thing, but she sounds pretty cool!

Hey. Do you have any tips for giving myself a manicure. Tips on how to stay on the nail with the paint and dry them faster and make them last longer. Thanks!

Hey girl,

If you want longer lasting, faster drying nails, use a clear base and top coat to solve both problems! As for staying on the nail, try using a wide brush to cover the nail more evenly, and if you get a little on your cuticles, dip a Q-tip in (a very small amount of) nail polish remover and remove the mistake. You'll get the hang of it!

Hey. Do you have any tips for applying to schools on filling out applications and writing essays for them? Also, how to pick a school. Thanks!

 

hey! when you're looking into schools start with what kind of weather you're the most comfortable with. Then narrow down regions of the country you think you'd enjoy experiencing. Then think about what you want to study and search for the best programs available. Keep in mind your family's budget and the availability of scholarships /financial aid.  When you apply start well in advance of the application deadlines. Ask your teachers to write recommendations for you as early as possible. Take time writing the essays and have more than one person proofread them before you submit them. Try to let your personality show through in your writing, to let the admissions staff know who you are and why you'd be great at their school Smile
