Yeah, yeah: You’ve got your eyes on spring break, not the
glorious months of freedom comin’ your way this summer. But if you wanna have
the best summer
ever, it’s time to start
thinkin’ ahead, hunnies. Here’s what to do right now to make this summer one
for the record books.
Get campin’
Now’s the time to sign up for summer camp, sweetie, so get a
move on! Wanna try something new? Look into becoming a junior counselor at the
camp you’ve attended for ages, or find a fresh pick in an area that sounds
totally awesome. Whether it’s sleepaway camp in Maine or a daily art camp in
your neighborhood, we bet you’ll find a seriously fab opp if ya start early.
Make $$$
A recent study showed that temporary summer employment for
teens is lookin’ better than it has in years—but only if you act now. Waiting
‘til May or June to find your perf summer gig isn’t a smart move. If you wanna
rake in the dough, start visiting the businesses that catch your eye, or making
phone calls. Slap on a smile, fill out an application and you’ll be on your
way!
Jamfest
Dying to see your fave crooner in concert? The time to snap
up tix is right this second. Need a li’l extra dough? No sweat—spring is the
perfect time to see if Mom or Dad (or your neighbors) need some extra help
around the house. From cleaning to gardening, you’ll be padding your wallet
with concert-ready cash in no time.
Party princess
Pick your summer blow-out date now and get those invite to
all of your pals. When summer hits, your sweeties will be heading in tons of
different directions. Selecting your party date in advance will help ya plan
ahead…and make sure all of your friends will be able to attend.
Trip-tastic
So a trip to Disney might not be in the cards this summer,
but that doesn’t mean you have to be stuck at home 24/7. Start asking your
‘rents and family members now if you could maybe go away for a long weekend.
Whether you wanna explore a new city, hit the beach or simply stay with your
cousins for a couple days, it’ll be way easier to score a thumbs-up if you
think ahead.
Spill, babes! What are you summer plans?
