We hear about the problems our planet faces all the times.
The biggest one of all? Us. That’s why we’re working hard this Earth Day to do
simple things that really
do make a huge
different for the world we call home.
The sitch: Carbon emissions
What you can do:
Plant trees, pronto, and fight to conserve the oldies in your neighborhood
The sitch: Fresh water
What you can do:
Take shorter showers, turn the water off while ya brush your teeth and organize
a clean-up committee to conserve local watersheds
The sitch: Plastic probs
What you can do: Use
a filtered pitcher and an aluminum water bottle instead of toting (and
trashing) plastic 24/7
The sitch: Rainforest deforestation
What you can do:
Support fairtrade businesses and organizations that refuse to take part in such
activities
The sitch: Superbug fever
What you can do:
Urge Mom and Dad to purchase antibiotic-free meat and poultry whenever possible
The sitch: Food frenzy
What you can do:
Plant a garden and encourage your friends, fam and school to do the same. Can
you say new spirit week competition?
The sitch: Junkyard blues
What you can do:
Start a recycling club at school and a compost pile at home
The sitch: Air pollution
What you can do:
Ditch autos in favor of your feet—walk, bike, rollerblade or skateboard
wherever you can
What are you doing to save the world today, eco chicks?
