According to KTLA, liquid hand sanitizer is 62 percent ethyl alcohol and when distilled, becomes a 120-proof liquid, making it pretty similar to the hard stuff your parents keep in the liquor cabinet. A couple shots is enough to make most teens flat-out drunk.
While doctors have seen teens drinking mouthwash, cough syrup and vanilla extract, this one, they say, is a new one. Half a dozen have been admitted to a hospital in California just in the past few weeks alone.

I mean even though these kids were soooo stupid to do this. He was pretty smart and realized yyou could do that but still gross. Know wonder people say our generation is going to be the first to not live longer than are parents.......cuz were getting drunk of hand sanitzer!

My friend from camp said hand sanitizer was banned from her school cuz kids were doing this. But it's not a "fad" as you say, it's been happening for years.

That's terrible!! This may seem extreme,but I think alcohol should be banned completely; all it does is cause problems!!!!!!!!

Just because it has alcohol in it doesn't mean you should drink it! There are other ingrediants too! It's not just alcohol, which I'm sure makes it even more dangerous, the fact that the alcohol is mixed with chemicals and stuff. I mean it's dangerous to get drunk anyway, but this is even worse.
