My sister ran away. What should I do?

 
My 15-year-old sister ran away. I know where she is, but I’m afraid to tell because I don’t want to get in trouble.

 

Dear Confused,

This is a serious situation. Rather than keep silent, reveal your sister’s whereabouts to a parent, or talk to a school counselor, psychologist, clergyperson, relative or some trusted adult who can help. I realize you don’t want to tattle on your sister, but if she’s in danger, speaking up can make a difference—or even save her life.

i have an older bro and I like his friend. Awkward, I know, but I still want to hang out with him as much as possible. My bro has a crush and has been inviting her to hang out with him and my crush, but that prevents me from seeing him. And now its everyday that she's coming. How can I get my bro to realize I want to hang out with my crush just he like he wants to hang out with his? Please tell me what to do.


 


Hey Chica!


I think the best thing for you to do is to talk to your brother. This may be awkward at first, but it’s the best thing you can do to get to your crush. Try explaining to him what you did to me, how you want to be around your crush just like he wants to be around his. If he’s older, hopefully he will be more understanding. I hope this helps and good luck!

Ok,so when I was walking from my school to my sister's high school track practince (I am 12), a man in a car came up close to me and was abut to roll down his windows, to like, talk to me. My dad, who just happpen to be there, went right behind him and he drove really fast away. Luckily, I saw this guy's plates. I am really freaked out and I don't want to be. I keep picturing me in some stranger's car, being taken away from my own life. I am really afraid. Please tell me what to do.

Hey girl,

Since your dad was there, it would help if you talked to him about the situation. Tell him how you feel now and felt at the time. He'll be able to tell you what to do next time, and since he saw what happened he can tell you whether or not you should do anything about the plates. To feel more safe next time you walk to track practice, stick with a friend or two. There's always safety in numbers!
