Come
May 8,
Karmin is saying
Hello to
both physical and virtual music stores with their debut album, sure to make a
splash (make that a tsunami) in the music world!
Karmin,
the duo of Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan, started out how many other
budding artists these days did: By posting crazy awesome renditions of popular
songs on YouTube. Quickly gaining a huge fan following, they caught the
interest of Epic Records and, well, the rest is history.
We
got a chance to check out the album before it releases tomorrow and, let’s just
say, it seems like Karmin has been around forever because they don’t sound like
amateurs.
Bummed
over a boy? Pop on “Brokenhearted” and no one will be able to keep ya down.
With its catchy chorus, you won’t help but smile and sing along.
When
you’re feeling like your dreams are too far away, blast “I’m Just Sayin’.” Amy
uses her amazing vocals, mixed with her quirky-wonderful rapping skills, to
tell the world she’s gonna do what she wants and get what she wants, too.
Amy
isn’t stealing the entire vocal spotlight on this album though. Nick starts off
the slow-moving “Coming Up Strong,” joined in the chorus with his duo mate. A
sweet melody, mixed with fun rap in the background, this song is beautiful and empowering, making you believe that
you’re stronger than anything life throws at ya.
Fans
of Nicki Minaj and Cher Lloyd will fall in love over and over again with “I
Told You So” and “Walking On The Moon,” with their melodic rapping, dance-worthy
background music and captivating meanings.
Relating
dudes to fish in “Too Many Fish,” Karmin knows how to bring their fun
personalities into their music. With lyrics like, “Too many fish in the sea to
miss one…If you caught one, you can catch another one,” it’s easy to see why
Amy and Nick always seem super bubbly. They’ve got a great outlook on life, and
it probably doesn’t hurt that they’re both incredible musicians.
Be
sure to pick up Hello when it
releases tomorrow, May 8. Then come back and share your favorite track.
