The
2012 BBMA were held in Las Vegas last
night and that definitely inspired the show! There were tons of performances by
our fave artists (Mr. Bieber, Katy Perry, Usher, oh my!), as well as
high-profile celebs walking the red carpet to show off their glam style.
Speaking of glam, Carrie Underwood rocked the carpet in a gown fit for an edgy
princess.
Along
with the usual happenings at awards shows, this show had some special things up
its sleeve. There were a few tributes to the amazing talents the world has
recently lost (Ms. Whitney Houston, Donna Summer and the Beastie Boys’ Adam
“MCA” Yauch), where some of today’s best stars belted out hits from their late
idols.
The main part of the show, the awards, was fairly
predictable, but not super perfect. We agreed with some, but not all. The one
that really got us? Lil Wayne for “Top Male Artist” over Drake, Chris Brown,
Bruno Mars and the Biebs. Really?!
