Is a long-distance relationship worth it?


 
HELP! My BF and I have been dating for almost two months, (we are in junior high) and honestly… I love him. He has told me he loves me as well. I know the chances of our relationship lasting are slim, but I really do think he could be the one, and I know he feels the same way. Recently his parents have been thinking of moving across the country! I don't know how I would be able to deal with his moving. I know long distance relationships don't usually work out, but should we try?

 

Hey girl! Being in love is a great feeling and your boyfriend sounds like he is a really nice guy. With that said, long distance relationships are tough – especially when you’re in different time zones. It is possible to work it out if you two are make a point to stay in communication (Skype is a lifesaver for cross-country couples), and know what to expect from each other. Are you willing to put in that time and effort?

 

The fact that you doubt that you can deal with his moving, not just the distance, raises a red flag. I think you know in your heart that it wouldn’t work since you are aware that the chances of it lasting are slim. If your BF moves just let him go and be free. If he is really “the one” the two of you will meet again some day.

Hey Sarah_15, periods can become irregular. See how much longer it goes on. This could just be a one time thing. If it lasts much longer the next time you're on your period I would contact the doctor. Hope this helps! Xoxo

I had my first period on August 2nd and it stopped on the 4th that time it was pretty light but it just came back and its really heavy. Arent periods supposed to happen only once a month? Thanks

 

Hey girlie! You might have just had spotting the first time (about halfway between your periods, when your hormones shift, sometimes that happens).  If it keeps happening twice a month, head to your doc and see what's up. xoxo

(this happened yesterday but i didnt want to tell anyone) anyways.....
Me and my BF were at the park on a romantic walk and he said he really likes me and he wants to be closer and kiss and stuff like that. I didnt know what to do so i was like ok sure then i was like oh did u hear about..... And i changed the subject. We are going on another date 2 days from now and im scared hes going to kiss me and im going to like mess up at kissing and make him not like me anymore. How do i tell him im not ready to kiss yet? Thanks

 

Hey chica! Let him know that you like him, but you just aren't ready to kiss yet.  Tell him that you are nervous and would like to wait a little while.  When you do want to kiss him (or another boy later on), don't worry about messing up.  Kissing is a pretty natural thing, so even though it might be a little awkward at first, quick kisses are easy and fun.  Until you're ready, just be honest with your BF.  xoxo

Lately, my BF has seemed to like me a lot more. He has been hanging out with me a lot more, talking to me, complementing me, etc. I guess I kind of like it, but why does he seem to like me a lot more now?
