Summer is the time to make your makeup and hair routines as
easy as possible, natch. We’ve rounded up some fab products and quick tips to
make getting ready for the pool or beach a total breeze. Read on!
Magic wand
The beach or pool is no place for shadow and liner,
especially when you’re constantly in and out of the water. Instead, simply swipe on some waterproof
mascara. It will still make your eyes
look pretty and defined but without the smudging.

Light layers
Skip heavy foundation and just use a good moisturizer with
SPF. If you have any zits or blemishes
try a tinted moisturizer or just use a dab of concealer on problem areas.

Balmy babe
If you’re looking to add a little color to your poolside
makeup routine, try a tinted lip balm with SPF. It will give you a hint of
color without the icky stickiness of lip gloss, while still protecting your
lips from harmful UV rays.

Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15 in Coral, $23, sephora.com
Makin’ waves
Poolside hairstyles are all about being natural. Spritz sea salt spray all over wet hair for
gorgeous, beachy waves—even when you’re stuck at home.

Play nice ‘n’ easy
Windy days at the beach can have your hair flying all over
the place. After a dip in the water, put
your hair in an easy side braid and secure the bottom with a no-pull elastic in
a fun color to prevent breakage.

Nifty knot
Tie a pretty silk scarf as a headband. Place the scarf at
your hairline and then secure in a knot at the nape of your neck and let the
rest of the scarf hang down your back. Such an adorable and fun way to keep
your hair off your face!
