Don't forget! 5 spots ya might miss when puttin' on sunscreen

Applying sunblock can take up lotsa precious outside time, and it’s tempting to just slap some on, grab your shades, and go. There are a few tricky spots that’ll come back to haunt (or hurt or itch) you later, though.

El Sol Isn’t for the Soles of Your Feet

Walking around, you never even see these babies, but remember when you’re laying on your stomach to tan that your back isn’t the only part you’re showin’. If you end up burning your feet, you won’t be heading out to meet the gals for a night on the town any time soon. Since wiping your hands all over the bottom of your feet is kinda gross, try a spray that’ll keep your soles safe and your hands germ-free.

Neutrogena Ultimate Sport™ Sunblock Spray SPF 100+, $11, neutrogena.com

Partburn—yowtch!

That white, flaky stuff in your hair over the summer is prob not dandruff – have you checked to see what color the part in your hair is? Chances are, it’s red. If you’re not into hats, make sure you’re gettin’ some invisible protection for between your lovely locks. Check out Sundition for a scalp saver that won’t get ya greasy or leave you smelling sicky-sweet for the day.

Sundition Scalp Sunscreen SPF 15 Fragrance Free 6oz. Bottle, $20, sundition.com

Reverse Shorts Tan

You’re out by the pool and you think Man, I gotta get rid of this shorts tan. The fastest way is to skip the sunscreen on the blinding white tops of your thighs, right? Wrong. It looks a little silly when you’re in a bikini and you take your shorts off to show another pair of red ones underneath. Try a light sunscreen that doesn’t feel sticky but that won’t wash off when you go for a dip in the pool.

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 85, $11, neutrogena.com

Sounding Out Sunburn

Usually your hair covers your ears, so you’d think you could skip on the sunblock. Swimming can leave you with some pretty crazy ‘dos sometimes, though, that’ll do worse for your ears than just making them look big. Best to keep from cringing every time you pop on some shades. Just keep a sunscreen roller in your purse for those days when you’re strollin’ in the sun with your chicas or picnicking with your BF.

Ulta Sun Faces Hypoallergenic Sunscreen Roller SPF 55, $10, ulta.com

Red Eye

Putting on makeup can get kinda tricky when it hurts to touch your skin, so watch out for the area between your eyes and your ‘brows. You prob don’t wanna be wearing red eye shadow for the rest of the summer. Try a sunscreen stick that is fragrance- and oil-free, so it won’t sting your eyes.

Clinique Sun SPF 45 Targeted Protection Stick, $19, macys.com

Hi! I was wondering why I'm friends witha ton of guys but none of them like me? Do I like scare them I mean I probably could like ya know beat them in sports and stuff. Or is it because I liked their friend for 21/2 years and now it's awkward between us which by the way why do I do about that I mean I'd like to be friends with him again.
Thanks,
Drosedogg

Probably since youre their friend, they only see you as a friend. They talk sports with you. So they may not ever see you as more than a friend. You could try flirting more with ones you like and see what happens. Good luck! xoxo kerra

MODMODMOD,
I use sunscreen whenever I go outside, but I still get really tan. I don't ever get sunburn, and I've tried different SPF amounts and brands. I play tennis and I usually have to play outdoors for matches/tournaments and sometimes practice, so I usually have to be outside for a while. I never burn though. How can avoid turning so tan?
Thanks in Advance

Hey cutie! If you really don't want to tan, and sunscreen doesn't seem to be working, cover up! Wear hats and go for the t-shirt instead of the tank top during your practices and matches. You don't want to overheat, but if you cover up a little you'll definitely keep off a lot more of those sun rays!

1.i have really dry skin. so dry, it flakes of and gives me "scaly" legs. I've tried everything, exfoliating, lotion everyday, etc. It only feels smooth when i shave, and it only lasts a day. What should i do?
2. Im 5'9" and only 104 pounds. Im really underweight and people always comment on how skinny i am. What do i do?

Hey girl--

1. Try an ultra strength moisturizer and make sure you arent washing your legs too much that can cause dryness.

2. Talk to your dr about ways for you to gain a little weight. People's comments may be hurtful because they don't realize that being too skinny can make you as uncomfortable as being overweight. Try eating more carbs and protein.

good luck!

I just went to the beach a few days ago and my back got super burned. My back hurts really bad to lay down. I even put sunscreen on like five times!

! MOD ! MOD ! MOD !
Okay, so I have grown out of all of my bras and I need new ones. I've looked at some places (Target, Macy's, VS Pink) but they all seem to have no variaty, are really expensive, or dont have my size. I'm a 32B, so are there any places I should check out? Thanks a bunch <3

Hey girl--

Target and walmart both have a pretty good selection of bras. You could also try speciality lingerie stores that may be less expensive than VS.

good luck!
