Well my BGF asked me out a few weeks ago and i decided that i'd give him a chance. He's a really sweet guy but i decided that maybe we should just stay friends. So i told him that, and i was trying to do it nicely because i do care about him. But then we got in a big fight about it and he said that i broke his heart. i've been trying to make him feel better about it since i didn't want to hurt him. But now things just are really messed up like our friendship and stuff. This is my first time breaking up with someone and its hard! i feel like such a bad person now!

Hey girl, breakups are always hard, no matter which side of them you're on. Hopefully your bgf will forgive and forget, but until then, you may just have to give him some space. It's good that you didn't let the relationship go on for too long before you broke it off, so he shouldn't have had time to get too attached. He's just hurting right now. So make it clear that you would still like to be friends, that you never meant to hurt him, and that you just didn't wanna lead him on. And then drop it and let him heal for a little while. If he really cares about you, he'll at least still wanna be your friend and will come around after a bit.
