Remember everything you learned this year--really!

 
Sick of spending all of September trying to remember everything you learned last semester? Soar to the top of the class on the very first day back by using your noggin and a smidge of time every day or two to work on your recall. Read on for our top three get-ahead tricks. Could good grades really be this easy? Answer: You bet!
 

Use it, don’t lose it

Don’t panic! We’re not asking you to spend your summer vacation going over practice problems. Toss those worksheets aside and enjoy yourself, sweetie—you deserve it! But when a puzzle comes your way, we want you to tackle it. A summer camper wants to know why it’s cooler by the lake than it is by the cabins? Dig deep into your science class smarts and whip out the answer. Your annoying little cousin wants to know how much pie he has left if he eats 2/3 of it? Give him a lesson in fractions. Figure out the tip on your fam’s restaurant bill. Look up words you don’t recognize from the newspaper or a beach read.
 

30-second flip

Instead of burning your books, push ‘em off to the side of your desk…for now. But when you have 30 seconds free, grab a notebook and read a couple of pages of notes, or figure out how to work that math problem. You’ll keep your skills sharp and be better able to pull facts to the front of your mind the next time they’re needed.
 

Get prepped

Two weeks before you’re set to go back to school—or two weeks before you’re heading to an academic camp or summer school—block out an afternoon for you and your books. Gather together all of your papers and your best notes (rewrite or type them if you need to) and create cheat sheets that you can use for reference. Since a lot of school subjects require knowledge you learned the year before for more advanced ideas, it helps to have a set of notes to give ya an easy-access foundation of information. Talk about cinchy!

MOD MOD MOD !!!
At school no one really pays attention to me. Not even my so called friends. I only have one friend and I a grateful for her but we don't have every class together. When I try to make friends with other people it just ends up with me being the backup friend and I feel like I just tag along with the other girls.What am I doing wrong? Please help me.

 

hey girl! You're not doing anything wrong, it's just that social circles can be hard to break into, and that's on other people, not on you. You just need a little confidence boost! I know it's so hard trying and trying to stay positive. It's possible that you only feel like a a backup friend and that's not how others see you at all. Just remember to assert yourself and stand up for yourself. If you feel like you're being ignored, speak up, and add something to the conversation. Don't let people interrupt or talk over you. It's never rude to speak up and be heard in a group of friends. good luck!

I'm taking a summer class online. It's on a subject I love (Psychology) and it keeps me from forgetting some basic science skills. You can take creative writing, guitar classes, advanced math, anything you want to know more about. You only have to do it one or two hours a day and I'd really suggest it for any girls who like to learn.

Um...how about no. Haha I hate school so I really could care less if I forget. Plus I already have enough summer assignments that let me know I won't be forgetting any time soon sadly.

These are really good ideas for easy ways not to forget everything we learned during the school year! Unfortunately, I don't have to do this because I'm homeschooled and we do a little school in the summer anyway.But I really think that everyone should try this, especially if they like getting good grades.

2/4 will say no way! Summer is a zero school zone!
