Disney Friends For Change announce their new teen ambassadors

Want to save the world? You don’t have to do it alone. You’ve probably seen Disney Friends for Change on the Disney Channel before. It’s a global initiative that encourages kids everywhere to make a difference, doing what they can to help people, communities and our planet.

But starting Monday, June 18, the program’s stepping up their game with the help of some of our fave Disney stars. Disney has announced their newest Ambassadors Program in which Debby Ryan (Jessie), Bella Thorne and Zendaya (Shake It Up) and Ross Lynch and Laura Marano (Austin & Ally) will serve as Friends for Change Ambassadors, inspiring everyone to make a change by taking action and volunteering.

The three efforts that will be awarded grants from the Disney Friends for Change campaigns? “Helping Communities – Volunteer” led by Debby Ryan, in collaboration with Free the Children, “Helping People – Be a Leader” led by Bella Thorne and Zendaya, in collaboration with Free the Children, and “Helping the Planet – Green Your Scene” led by Ross Lynch and Laura Marano, in collaboration with TreePeople.

Disney Channel, Radio Disney and Disney.com will record the new ambassadors all summer, showing you their efforts and how you can help (you can even vote for your fave ambassador’s campaign!). Friends for Change will also provide tons of info online about ways you can make a difference.

We’re super excited to know that our fave Disney stars are using their talent to help the world. We’re especially inspired by Debby Ryan, who helped build a new school for a local village in India! On Friday, June 29, Debby will reveal personal stories of her volunteer work, so be sure to tune in to Disney Channel! We know we will.

If you could team up with any celeb for some community service, who would it be? Blog about it, babes.
