Well, I really
like this boy, and I can't work up the nerve to talk to him. What do I do,
because it is summer? Someone else likes him and I need to make a move, quick!
Hey girl, sounds like you need some backup from your besties. If ya
can’t handle a one-on-one convo, start out by inviting him to a group
get-together. Are any of your friends close to him or his friends? See if they
could invite him for you, and maybe have them open up the invite to a few of
his friends, too, so it doesn’t look like another one of your girlies is goin’
after him.
Then, you could all go to the pool, get some ice cream, or have a
BBQ in someone’s backyard. Just make sure that you end up near your crush
during the hangout, and show him how sparkly your personality is. Your convo
doesn’t have to be just you and him, either. You’ll have plenty of friends
around, and you chat with them all the time. So talk to them like you would
normally, and when your crush chimes in, treat him like one of the gang. Before
you know it, you’ll have been talking to him for hours, no sweat.
At the end of the night, don’t forget to keep the convo going. If
you don’t already have your crush’s cell number, ask for it. Just say that
you’d like to chat more about something that came up earlier, like your shared
obsession over rock climbing or his awesome job at a guitar store. Give him a
sweet smile, and kiss that fear of chitchat goodbye, sistah.
