Every time I saw my crush, I flipped. My friends said he like me back, but I wasn't sure. On the bus he sat behind me. He flung his headphones over the seat and insisted I listen. "What Makes You Beautiful" was playing <3! then he told me that describes me, and asked me out!

So I like this guy and we're friends and for the past couple of weeks we've been messaging back and forth on Facebook A LOT and for a long time too. I think that he might like me back so I was wondering if I should tell him I like him or not (I see him at church too) Thanks.

 

Hey! It sounds to me like you really like this guy Smile congrats, it can be fun to have a crush. The best way to deal with this is to be his friend and see if something more happens naturally. I have seen so many girls get hurt and ruin friendships because they "had to know" if someone liked them, and they asked the guy about it and made the whole situation awkward. I even did that myself when I was younger. It's better to have a secret crush on your friend than to have a public crush on your ex-friend. good luck!

I'm really insecure about my body. I HATE it. Mostly my tummy and legs. I refuse to go to anything pool related since I hate how I look in a swimsuit. Any advice?

 

hey girl! I'm sorry you're feeling down on yourself. Accepting your body can be tough, but it shouldn't have to be. Sometimes the media make it seem like if you exercise enough or do enough of this or buy enough of that, then you'll be happy with yourself, but none of that is true. The truth is that insecurity is a mental thing and nothing external really changes it. so my advice is to say aloud to yourself, "I am beautiful" every day. I promise you'll feel silly at first but eventually it'll be part of your routine and it'll make it a little easier for you to accept yourself. beauty is totally in the eye of the beholder. I was just talking to a woman today who said she thought her bf's stretch marks were "so cute"! She thinks that because she loves him, and one day you'll have that too. good luck Smile
