Please reply ASAP!! It seems like I have NO confidence whatsoever! I pitch in softball games and seem to do pretty good until I throw the worst pitch of the game! That just seems like an insult to me. Then I call time and ask if I can stop pitching! Normally I don't do that, but now it's becoming a habit! What do I do to think more positive?

 

Hey girl! Make sure you take a deep breath before you pitch.  As long as you've practiced as much as you can and know what you're doing, you'll be confident.  Remember- softball is a team sport, so your coach wants to make sure everyone is playing at their best for the team.  It might be a bummer to have to be taken out of a game, but the fact that you go to pitch at all should keep you positive! xoxo

It's natural to get shy around the guy you like. Why don't you try hanging out in a group of friends? That way, you've got your buds to keep you comfortable but you're still in a setting to spend some time and get to know your crush. Try to get yourself to be comfortable hanging out with him, and when you've nailed that confidence, then you can tell him how you feel and be sure of yourself.

K so there's this guy,lets call him Q.So i had been crushing on Q 4 a while and my friends said we would look cute as a couple. Then one of my other friends told me Q liked me back and he was going to ask me out on field day at school and he did but i wasnt sure if it was a real date or not.But in middle school Q got put in a different "team" than mine.Than he moved away!I miss him like crazy and i never got his phone number or anything!!i'm sorta crushing on this other guy now but i still miss Q!!What do i do? srry it was long,but plz help!! Hmm, this is tricky. Do you know anyone who was close with Q? If so, you could get his number and send him a nice text to ask how he's doing. It sounds to me like you and Q are in two separate worlds now, and it might be time to move on...but there's nothing wrong with chattin' him up a little and asking about his new school, etc. Do a little hunting but don't get too down if you can't find him. We are becoming a boring couple, we don't do anything special, we say I love you and kiss. How do I make our relationship more special and last for a long time?

 

As you grow up, you're going to drift apart. It is almost inevitable. But i suggest you make things special again by trying to go on new adventurous dates and get to know each other better. I know you probably already now each other well...but try and learn new things. Do new exciting things together. Or he could be developing interest for you. Since you don't know him well enough to figure out which one it is, keep talking to him and look for hints to help you out. ok so theres a guy that broke up with a girl 2 weeks ago and he was really really upset about it, so we've been texting the past few days and hes been venting to me about it. we weren't super close before, but he's a nice guy and everything. we've been going back and forth just asking each other questions, and he asked hypothetical ones about what my perfect first date would be, kissing on the first date, etc. I don't really like him like that and were still strictly friends but is trying to say something else or is he genuinely curious? I recently went on a school trip with my crush, who also happens to be my good friend. We got a lot closer, such as we'd go off to explore by ourselves and we talked a lot. He also let me sleep on his shoulder, and when people were taking pictures of us sleeping, he didn't really mind. Is it possible he likes me? Or should I just keep him as a good friend?

The friend zone (and getting out of it) is always hard. It seems like he may in fact have a crush on you, but you also don't want to mistake his friendship for something more if it's not there. Keep going with the flow and see if he gets flirty around you. I'm sure other people will notice if something seems to be between you. Talk to some of your BFFs and see what they think. If it sounds like he's crushin' on you, you might want to mention something about your friendship/if it's something more. Of course be careful and don't ruin your awesome friendship, but if there's something more that you're both feeling, you'll want to get it out.

Unfortunately, there isn't much to do to make a tan fade faster. You could try to tan only that area, but that takes time, precision, and also isn't very healthy for ya. Instead, I would just accept it and try to be patient! You could always cover it with a sweat band or watch, but honestly it's not that big of a deal. No one will even notice - and if they do, they'll probably compliment you on your healthy glow! Plus, you know for next time to take them off BEFORE you're out in the sun, so you'll learn a lesson Smile

Recently I went camping with my family and some of my parents' friends. One couple that they're friends with has a son who is a year older than me(he's 16). The first time we saw each other, I knew I liked him and I could tell he liked me too. The last night of the trip, he told me he had a crush on me and that I have the most beautiful face he has ever seen. He's the sweetest guy I have ever met. Since then, we have kept in touch. We Skype every day and I keep falling for him more and more. There's just one problem: he lives 2 1/2 hours away from me. I like him A LOT and I don't want distance to come between us, but I don't know how to make our relationship work if we're rarely together. What should I do?







Hey girl!  Long-distance relationships can be tough, especially when you're young.  Keep up the Skype and making connections with him, but don't let it distract from your life at home as well.  Try to visit, with permission from your parents, to be able to see each other.  But, if the romance fades, don't get too upset!  Long-distance is very hard, but it can work!  xoxo

Hey chica, are you saying that you don't like who he's changed into? Or are you saying that you wish he'd change more? Because if it's the first one, you should bring it up in a convo with him sometime. The only way things are gonna change is if ya do something about 'em, and if it starts a fight, maybe that's a sign that ya need to start thinking about going your separate ways. But if it's the second one, you have to understand that people don't usually change. It's really, really hard to make someone into something they're not, so you might have to come to terms with the fact that this is who your bf is. And if you don't like that, then maybe he shouldn't be your bf. But definitely try talking to him because in a good relationship, you need to be able to tell each other what's bothering you and work things out together.

Hey! It sounds to me like you really like this guy Smile congrats, it can be fun to have a crush. The best way to deal with this is to be his friend and see if something more happens naturally. I have seen so many girls get hurt and ruin friendships because they "had to know" if someone liked them, and they asked the guy about it and made the whole situation awkward. I even did that myself when I was younger. It's better to have a secret crush on your friend than to have a public crush on your ex-friend. good luck!

hey girl! I'm sorry you're feeling down on yourself. Accepting your body can be tough, but it shouldn't have to be. Sometimes the media make it seem like if you exercise enough or do enough of this or buy enough of that, then you'll be happy with yourself, but none of that is true. The truth is that insecurity is a mental thing and nothing external really changes it. so my advice is to say aloud to yourself, "I am beautiful" every day. I promise you'll feel silly at first but eventually it'll be part of your routine and it'll make it a little easier for you to accept yourself. beauty is totally in the eye of the beholder. I was just talking to a woman today who said she thought her bf's stretch marks were "so cute"! She thinks that because she loves him, and one day you'll have that too. good luck Smile

Hey! I felt the exact same way you did when I was younger and you know what? it got better. I'm actually really glad now that I didn't have a bunch of insignificant bfs in middle school and high school. You'll meet someone really substantial when you're older. Good guys are worth the wait. You don't need a boyfriend to validate you. Read books, have fun, and get to know who YOU are before you worry about boys. I promise you will meet someone one day.

I want to eat more healthier. I'm not chubby... yet. The thing is, my mom always makes food that's usually noodles and rice (we're Asian). Also, we don't have much fruit or veggies in the fridge. How can I convince her to buy more and make healthier food (or even let me make it) without hurting her feelings?

hey! the first thing you have to do is try not to psych yourself out too much. If you are super nervous all the time it'll make it harder to just be yourself and have fun, which is the best way to meet new people and make friends. So, at your new school just be friendly to people, smile wave and introduce yourself. You might make friends quickly, or it could take some time, and that's not necessarily a reflection on you, it all has to do with circumstances, so give yourself a break and never give up girl Smile

Please reply ASAP!!! You see, for the next 2 weeks my cuzs are staying with us. They're 2 and 6. So far I've been babysitting them constantly, my 6 year old cuz threw 2 fits that woke me up, and I can't seem to listen to my music (which happens to be what I can't stand to do without) alone. They are always intruding! What should I do? I don't want to be mean, but I'm sick of it. Plus, I'm not even getting paid!!

 

Hey girlie!  Ask your mom if you can get an hour or two a day to yourself when someone else is looking after the kids.  Also, ask her if you can get a reward (though not necessarily paid) for taking care of the kids.  See if she'll take you and a friend to the movies one night and pick up the tab.  If not, it's only two weeks and you can always put on a movie for the kids and listen to your music while they watch.  Good luck!
