Your period always come at the most annoying times, but it’s
even worse when you’re not expecting it. If your periods have been irregular,
there are
still ways you can pin ‘em down, even without a trusty calendar. Here are four signs that your bod gives a few days in advance to let you know when Aunt Flo is on her way.
Tummy Troubles
If you’re thinkin’ you don’t look as good in your bikini as
you did a few days ago, that might be some period-related bloating. You could
also have either diarrhea or constipation, cramps, and nausea. Some chicas
start craving specific foods and eating a li’l more than usual, too, so be
careful that you keep snackin’ on healthy things.
Emotional
Rollercoaster
You’re not a drama queen, but you’ve been feelin’ pretty
weepy the past few days. That’s probably a sign that your period is right
around the corner. You could also be more irritated than usual or have trouble
sleeping. And in severe cases, gals have trouble remembering things and
concentrating in the days leading up to their periods.
Skin Issues
Extra acne tends to pop out on your face when your period
shows up because your hormones are goin’ wild. You could also get some cold
sores and sometimes swelling in your face, hands, and feet. If your boobs hurt
a bit and are tender, that’s normal, too.
Problem City
In general, you might just feel more tired and achy before
your period hits. You could have headaches, too. And if you have any other
issues, like asthma or allergies, they might be a li’l worse than usual.
Periods are never
fun, but we all get ‘em, girls. So what do you do to keep your spirits up when
that time of the month rolls around?
