What do you mean it isn't Pirate Day?

I almost always wear the same hoop earrings because I get so busy and I just forget. Last Sunday was one of those days:  I was rushing out the door for church, then straight to volleyball for two hours, then shopping with my mom and then I finally got to go home, take a shower and go to bed.
 
When I got to church, I was getting weird stares, so I checked my reflection in a mirror. I didn't see anything weird, so I shrugged it off and started flirting with my crush, but his crew just kept staring at me. When I got to volleyball, I was stared at again. It wasn't until we went shopping and I was looking at a jewelry display when I noticed I was only wearing one earring. I had been going around the whole day as a pirate. Flirting as a pirate. I was devastated.

Hey, dont worry about it. Worse things have happened then forgetting an earring. TRUST me!! I do have to admit, it WAS kinda rude of them to stare at you for something as simple as not having on an earring!! I bet more embarrising things've happened to them!! Haha, It doesn't matter, everyones allowed to make mistakes or forget Smile

That really wasn't embarassing. What's embarassing is having to walk around like that for nearly 4 months' That is not exactly fun.

I understand being self concious about being stared at. Those people staring at you, for all you know, may be basking in your glory! I lose my earrings all the time and never realize it. I hate being stared at, but in my opinion, I would wonder why they would stare at you in disgust and not say anything about your missing jewelry. Its natural.

No offense but... how exactly is this embarassing??? People lose earrings all the time. It isn't embarassing.
