Hello there, I need some help. At the school that I am going to next year, I only know one person. My "best friend". Why the quote marks? Because I don't think we are best friends. But she does. And I don't know what to do. I just like being with her in small amounts of time. Very small amounts. I get very annoyed with her all the time. She just kind of bugs me with how fake she is. She's really kind of conceited talking about how beautiful she is all the time. And I can't stand her. But my mom wants us to be friends. What should I do? I don't want to be friends with her! Please help!

 

hey! just communicate with her. when she does something that bothers you tell her and tell her why. It might seem mean, but if you don't you'll just resent her more each day until you really DO do something mean like slowly ditching her without telling her why. besides it'll either improve your relationship if she listens to you and changes or she'll realize she should make other friends. either way it's a good outcome for you.
