Mod. There's this guy that I like a lot at school. All my friends say he likes me, but I'm not sure. So I'm just gonna describe how he acts around me and see what you think! He told me my eyes are pretty, he stares at me and smiles a lot, his best friend talks to me about him a lot, he asked me for my number, he laughs at all my jokes, and he always uses a bunch of smiley faces when we text. Soo.. Do you think he likes me?

My best friend used to hae a crush on the perfect guy for her but not any more. they always have the same exact schedule because they are in some special group.even though she claims not to like him she mentions how cute his hair is or how she likes his sense of humor then quickly convinces herself she is wrong. every time she starts to see how perfect he is for her he does or says something stupid.they are sooo cute...they mess with each other all the time sort of like little kids pulling hair or kicking sand on the play ground. he likes her too. how do i convince her that all boys do stupid things because they are boys and help my bestie land her perf boy. I really like this guy, who liked me back a couple years ago. Actually that was 3 years ago now, (8th grade and we are going into 11th now). I haven't had a class with him since we started high school and I really miss him. He's forgotten all about me too :-( If we don't have a class together AGAIN this year, how can I reconnect with him? I don't have a Facebook or his cell # :-(

Is he friends with any of your friends? Any way to reconnect through a club, sports team, or part time job? If not, start slow - give him a subtle smile or even a little wave when you see him in the halls. Small friendly gestures like that could really mean a lot! And as long as you give it time and don't come on too strong, he won't think it's strange or out-of-the-blue at all <3 Remember that timing means a lot though so, if your paths just aren't crossing no matter what you try, it might not be "meant to be" right now. And that's ok too! Make sure focusing on your crush isn't making you blind to all the other great opportunities (aka guys) you have right in front of you!

I have two questions 1) My boyfriend and i have been going out for 9 months but he hasnt done anything like hold my hand or anything he does email me and say he loves meSmile but other than that nothing and im not willing to break up with him.
2) Homecoming is coming up after school starts and me and my friends always go to the football game and i sorta wanted my bf to come with us but he always gets caught up with his guy friends what do i do!!

lately I just feel like such a wreck..... I think it's pms, but Ive never had my period. I've been so tired no matter how much I sleep, I'm always super hot one minute and shivering the next, I have acne, I have problems with my stomach, my breasts are sore, i have no apetite. I took my temperature and I don't have a flu. All I want to do is stay in bed, but I'm on vacation, so I want to see places etc. how can I lesson the symptoms!




Hey girl, whether it's your period or something else, the best thing to do is to get your mind off of it. If you just go out and act like nothing's wrong, you'll be having fun before ya know it. Being on vacation is great 'cause there are lotsa distractions that can help you forget about that stuff. So go out and have a good time! Smile

my ex and I broke up over 6 months ago and I really don't know what i feel. I've gone out with other guys and stuff after but it just was different. I'm so angry at my ex he broke my heart and I guess i'm still broken I don't know. He called me names and gossiped about me after we broke up and I know its not him its just not who he is but why does he put on this tough guy act and make me look like the looser?

 

hey! he's a jerk, he just wants to feel good about himself by putting you down and that's not cool. I know you want to think the best of him because you dated, but there's no excuse for that kind of behavior. he should know better.

Hello there, I need some help. At the school that I am going to next year, I only know one person. My "best friend". Why the quote marks? Because I don't think we are best friends. But she does. And I don't know what to do. I just like being with her in small amounts of time. Very small amounts. I get very annoyed with her all the time. She just kind of bugs me with how fake she is. She's really kind of conceited talking about how beautiful she is all the time. And I can't stand her. But my mom wants us to be friends. What should I do? I don't want to be friends with her! Please help!

 

hey! just communicate with her. when she does something that bothers you tell her and tell her why. It might seem mean, but if you don't you'll just resent her more each day until you really DO do something mean like slowly ditching her without telling her why. besides it'll either improve your relationship if she listens to you and changes or she'll realize she should make other friends. either way it's a good outcome for you.

Hey this is totally off topic but I'm really freaked...
So this year I'm changing schools. I've always gone to an extremely small private school(like 400 kids in the whole k-12)and this year I'm going to public(900 kids 9th-12th). My mom teaches there so I kind of have a little insight but I'm still super nervous. See, she teaches the lower level classes and I'm not in that end of the spectrum and it's a really huge high school so it's not like she'll know, at least really well, the people I'll be in class with or be anywhere near me all day so other than knowing the other teachers well she might as well not be there. I'm just super nervous. How can I make a good first impression, focus, and not panic that first day or two of school? And OMG I just thought of something kind of terrifying, where in the world do I sit at lunch? Please reply ASAP! Any advice would be great! Thanks so much!

hey! starting in a new place is really stressful, but the key is not to be to hard on yourself. don't be afraid of introducing yourself to people. at lunch ask if you can sit with a group and participate in their conversation. you can even break the ice by sharing your feelings about changing schools. Just stay relaxed and to do that think or do whatever calms you the most Smile good luck!

True story: At a sleepover, a friend of mine changed into her pajamas and we all noticed she wore a back brace. "omg when did you get that?" everyone asked. Turned out, she'd had it for a year-- none of had ever noticed! Just follow your doctors instructions and you should be fine. Back braces are a lot less bulky and noticeable than they used to be.

It's sounds like your mom may have been more angry with your friend than with you. I know it may sound like an insult, but your friend may really value you if you give her honest advice and call her out when she's being mean or unfair. Maybe you should talk with your friend-- why is it that no one else can stand up to her? Is she mean to everyone else?

Just talked it over with the other mods and they seem to all agree: high school. So 14 or 15. But that doesn't mean that you can't start dating before then or that you have to have a boyfriend by then. Instead of looking for a BF just enjoy school and friends and eventually you'll find someone you're ready to date.
