There is a guy that is dating my BFF from preschool. He is always messaging me about how "cute I am" and how " I'm the perfect girl" He told me he has a crush on me, but he has a girlfriend!!! He is nice but a lot of my other friends said he is weird, they are such a cute couple and I dont want to mess that up. What do I do?

My best friend just broke up with her boyfriend. It was a bad break-up and she's been feeling really depressed over the past few days. Their relationship ended after 6 months. I REALLY feel like saying I TOLD YOU SO, because I did, and I know the guy better then I know my best friend in terms of how long we've been friends. Should I be sympathetic towards the guy too since he's my friend, even though he dumped my BFF? Also, how do I comfort my BFF and help her get over the split? Please help!

 

Hey girlie,

Well, you know that now is not the time for "I told you so" or rubbing it in her face. Break ups hurt bad enough, so try to let that go and just focus on what is in front of you: a bestie who is upset, sad, and needs support. You're friends with both of them, so the best way to deal is to be supportive but NOT negative - never bad mouth the other person. Stuff like, "Ugh girl, he wasn't a good BF. Forget about that loser" isn't good, and neither is "Omg she was so needy, you're better off." Instead, stick to supportive and optimistic things. Tell them both that it isn't their fault they didn't work together and they're better off now because they can look for someone who is meant for them. Over time, they will heal and it'll feel less tense. Stick with it! <3

My boyfriend and I have been dating for almost 2 years, and we're both Juniors in high school. He is truly an amazing guy, but lately I haven't been seeing much of the guy I fell in love at the beginning. He is super protective of me, like if I talk to one of my other guy friends he instantly is right there too. But he seems to ignore me when we go to parties together, or when we're at band practice. He always is talking to another girl, and I'm not the jealous type or anything, but he is just always with her. I think he likes her personality more than mine. She's super smart. He only comes over to me to kiss or hug me, and that's all I feel like he wants to do. We haven't had a regular conversation in a while; all it is is sexual talk and stuff. I have talked to him about the ignoring thing and he said he "would try harder not to". Please help :\ I have no idea what I should do...Thanks Smile

It's totally normal for relationships to hit a "rut" around 2 years. You're starting to feel super comfortable with each other, so it's easy for both of you to stop trying. You start to wonder who you are without the other person - do you have your own life? Do you feel free to try new things, grow into a different person, meet new people? What was it like to be single...? You know? It's natural to have all these questions and to be imagining your life differently. That's probably what's happening here. That doesn't mean that either of you WANTS to break up - that just means that you've been doing the same thing for a while, so it's getting a little stale. First, talk to him about how you're feeling. Tell him you've felt like you were distant lately and you miss being close to him again - like going new places together, trying new foods, hanging out, and just getting to know each other. Ask him if he's willing to work a little on the relationship and help you mix things up. Then, actually commit to it - go on dates and try things that you have never done before, like a museum or a hobby or even just seeing a new movie and discussing it afterwards. Start working on your connection by showing each other that there is STILL a lot about each other you have to learn. Don't get bored Smile If this doesn't work, it might just be that your relationship ran its course and you're both growing into different people. That happens to! But give it a try before you panic or give up!

Hey girl! I know it may seem hard to get over him, but since you guys live so far apart, your relationship wouldn't really be all that exciting.  Long distance relationships are tough, and starting one when you don't know the next time you'll ge the chance to see each other makes it even tougher.  Their relationship might not last forever, but yours with this guy might not either, so save yourself some heartache and try your hardest to find other guys.  For awhile it might seem impossible, but eventually you'll find a guy who interests you.  xoxo

Hi, i have a serious issue. So i just got back from a cruise where i met a really nice guy. He gave me his number and we hugged and did what most bf's and gf's would do. Then just about a half and hour ago i found out he has a girlfriend but he told me he kinda likes me and said he would more if we got 2 know each other better. what do i do. do i tell him how i feel and maybe will he b done with his girlfriend. btw i forgot 2 tell u he lives in Louisiana which is like the other side of the country. Please Help!!!

Hey chica! Sounds like this guy isn't as nice as you think he is.  What if you were his girlfriend- how would you feel knowing your dude was flirting with other girls, giving them his number, and telling them he would like them if he knew them better?  You'd probably be mad and crushed.  Instead of starting a long distance relationship, find a new guy at school and a new crush- and cut this guy off.  xoxo

Please please please please please please help. I don't know what to do. Ok so the beach reads giveaway in June gave this book away called Reckless heart that I won. I never got it. It said u had to wait six weeks when I've been waiting 7-8. I emailed both trish and Brittany last week and I didn't get an answer. So I emailed them again this week on Sunday again and I still haven't gotten an answer from them yet. What if they don't answer again by the end of this week? What am I suppose to do? Hi! So, tomorrow is my birthday, and me and both of my sisters have the same birthday (I know, it is very crazy, but it is true!) and so, I ordered my older sister's present, and it won't come for a few weeks. So... I was THINKING I could give her a prank gift, until the real gift comes (that is how our family rolls) and I know I won't take it too far, but far enough so she is like "Oh.. Uh, thanks..." Smile What should I do? Thanks! BTW, I will tell her it is not the real gift.

I like a differnt guy now but i am afraid to ask him out because if hes says no it will beawkward because we have alot of friends in common and i will also have to relive that sadness all over again. also his ex i know pretty well and she is sweet but has a mean side and if he says yes i am afraid she will start being mean to me.

 

Hey chica! For now, hold off on letting this guy you're into him.  Try flirting with him and being friendly and see how he responds.  If he flirts back and you've given his ex time to get over him, there's no reason why you can't invite him along next time all of your friends head to the movies.  Take things slow, but remember: just because one guy rejected you, it doesn't mean they're all that mean.  xoxo

Girlie, you should get over this guy. What if he was your bf and he was flirting with other girls? You wouldn't like it, would you? There are more fish in the sea and there will one who is good enough and won't flirt with anybody else.

pretend that u are his gf. would u like it if he was flirting a lot wiht some other girl who has a crush on him when u weren't around? if he's flirting too much while he's taken, that may be somehting he does frequently. hold your feelings fro him and try to look around for other guys. u mite realize there is someone else worthy of your affection who only has eyes for u.

Hey girlie, This is a tough one.  Would you want to know if one of your boyfriend's girl friends kissed him?   I would tell him, but make it clear that HE kissed YOU, not the other way around.  It wasn't your fault that he made a move on you.  Your guy might want you to steer clear of this guy for a bit, and if that's the case then you should do it.  Honesty and trust are important in a relationship, but be careful to explain what happened so that your guy knows you want to be with HIM.  xoxo

I think my crush hates me! I was texting him and my feelings were really hurt cause he wasn't texting me back.
I asked him why he didn't anwser and it turns out I had missed a text he had sent me telling me he was getting a new number and that I should text that one. I felt really bad and he got mad at me. What should I do to get him to forgive me and talk to me again? And did I make a bad move by asking why he wouldn't anwser my texts?

 

Hey girl! Just apologize for the missed text and move on like nothing happened.  If he's mad, give him time to cool off (a week or so) and then talk to him again.  I'm sure he doesn't hate you because you made a mistake.  As long as you were polite about him not answering your texts, you were find to ask him, but if you were mean about it or were complaining, then you need to be more careful next time.  Sometimes people don't get around to their phone that often and you don't want to seem too pushy.
