What would happen if we were to take CeCe, Rocky and
our other favorite
Shake It Up characters and throw them across the globe? Well,
we’re about to find out.
Shake It Up: Made In Japan premieres tonight at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Disney
Channel. Are you tuning in? From hip Tokyo
teen fashion to "J-Pop" tunes, it’s one culture shock we’re ready
for. But why exactly is our beloved Shake
It Up Chicago even there in the first place?
The hour and a half-long episode follows Rocky and
CeCe as they just scored a trip to Japan to be part of a dance video game
production. But when Rocky reveals to Cece her fear of flying, the girls turn
to a hypnotist for help.
But the craziness doesn’t stop there, natch. Once
the girlies land in Japan, Cece really wants to get discovered and skyrocket to
fame. Rocky, on the other hand, wants to soak up some local culture. And then
there’s Gunther and Tinka, whose luggage gets lost en route, forcing them to
grab a whole new wardrobe. It’s not all craziness either, though. The gang gets
to see some gorgeous sites, do some major shopping and dance, of course, in
this new special.
