The main problem with girls relying on shapewear to feel good about their appearances is that they’re not confident with their own bodies. Even skinny girls feel like any curve is taboo, and they’re developing an unhealthy image of themselves. What’s worse is that the tight-fitting spandex is teaching them to ignore pain in order to look better. And if they don’t mind that pain of being seriously sucked in, then what’s next?
When teens are ignoring the pain of shapewear, they’re actually ignoring what could be a serious problem. Doctors have seen cases of gastrointestinal problems, nerve damage and bladder infections all caused by wearing shapewear. The problem is that the spandex is just too tight, and it’s squeezing their internal organs and nerves. So the bottom line? Skip the Spanx, spend some time in front of the mirror embracing the gorgeousness of your bod, imperfections and all, and show Y-O-U a whole lotta love.

Do you guys love fashion? Do you like Taylor Swift? I just solved BOTH of your problems. I have a Club called Fashion Advice 101. We talk fashion and I do my best to give daily fashion tips. Vice President is open. Let me know if you would like to be it. If you would want to be it please let me know on my profile not the club page. I also have another club, True Swifties. If you LOVE Taylor Swift from her music to her style this is a PERFECT club for you too! Positions are also open. Just go onto my profile and tell me which position on which club. I hope you join both! XOXO ~Fashion designer

If you’re allergic to peanuts, you can have a reaction from kissing a guy who just ate peanuts.
