Who will be the next BIG thing?

Starting this October, Radio Disney’s Next Big Thing (N.B.T.) is back for its fifth season with new mentors and bigger prizes. On N.B.T., promising teen singers will showcase their talent and battle it out to win the most votes. The winner will not only be the opening act for the finale concert in Los Angeles, but will also get to perform on Austin & Ally and release a single with Disney Music Group.

Five different acts will be competing this season. And this year, each will not only showcase their own singles for the public, but will also perform a popular cover song, too!

Throughout the season, we’ll all be able to get a behind-the-scenes look as contestants work with mentors like Cher Lloyd, Ross Lynch and Laura Marano. But before things get started, we wanted to give you a sneak peek at these budding stars. Read on to get a glimpse at their real lives through these adorable video diaries and be sure to tune in to Radio Disney Friday, Oct. 12 and during the Disney Channel premiere of Girl Vs. Monster for the start of the competition.
