Celebs take a stand with anti-bullying tees


Sadly, for a lot of people, back to school doesn’t just mean reuniting with friends and taking new classes, but something much tougher. Every day across the United States, it’s reported that 15 percent of school absentees are staying home from school not because of sickness, but because of bullying. Even worse, over 70 percent of students say bullying is definitely a problem at their school.

 

Thankfully, CustomInk and PACER (National Bullying Prevention Center) have teamed up for their annual campaign, Be Good to Each Other. They’ve enlisted celebrities like singer Rebecca Black, actress Katie Leclerc, and Olympic gold medalist diver David Boudia to help spread the word. These stars have gone to CustomInk.com and each made T-shirts for National Bullying Prevention Month, which is coming up in October.

 

By going to customink.com/stopbullying, you can create your own T-shirt to raise awareness on bully prevention. You can also buy a shirt created by a participating celebrity. The best part is that 100 percent of the profit will go to PACER to help fund their programs, as they are a nonprofit organization.

 

After making and buying your shirt (with a parent’s permission, of course), be sure to wear it loud and proud not only during October, but during the rest of the year! Bullying is a serious problem, and we are the first step to solving it.

Katie's is the cutest is the most meanigful to me. I think Rebecca Black's shirt is funny af to me. Somebody always has to bring up that song.

I love Katie Leclerc! She is great on switched at birth! I love that show. I also think that her shirt is adorable!

I like Rebecca Black's T-shirt the best... I really don't know why I just do. Smile I think I will spread awareness by making a T-shirt and just being nice to others.

I'm in 6 grade in the high ability program. It is 4,5, and 6 grade. The 6 graders are making desserts for the 4 and 5 graders to" buy" with tickets. They only get 2 or 3 tickets and it is the 6 graders goal to sell everything. We are tying in English by making signs to persuade the kids to buy our desserts. What are some creative desserts and poster board ideas to use? Btw they have to eat the desserts with their hands so nothing messy. It will be a few days before Halloween ideas?
