Researchers studied 1,050 mothers and their third-grade kids to see if children were being purposefully introduced to alcohol at a young age, and, if so, to find out why. They discovered that one in four mothers believe that allowing kids to taste alcoholic beverages when they're young will discourage them from drinking recklessly as tweens and teens.
According to The Huffington Post, however, these parents couldn’t be more wrong. Past studies have found that fifth-graders who were allowed to have alcohol by their parents are twice as likely to report recent alcohol use in seventh grade, and those who begin drinking before age 15 are six times more likely to develop problems with alcohol than those who start drinking at 21. Yikes!

Aww! I cannot believe third graders are drinking alcohol! That's sad because if they take this seriously they could become an alcoholic in the future. I have never once tasted liquor or any alcohol, nor have I ever even thought about it! It smells bad and doesn't seem good. Also beer is fizzy like soda and I hate soda because it is fizzy! I will stick to water please!

I think this study is probably true and it makes me scared to be a parent. I my parents let me sip from their drinks at home.

I've never tried alcohol and I'm 14. The smell of it is enough to convince me to never try it. I'm also a Christian and it says not to drink fermented drinks. My parents occasionally have an alcoholic beverage but I've never wanted to try it.

Flavor: Pop the top for this electrifying, citrus-flavored gloss.
Fab Fact: This soda goodness has been slicking lips with a yummy fizz since 1976.
It's bad to eat really late at night.
