Researchers studied 1,050 mothers and their third-grade kids to see if children were being purposefully introduced to alcohol at a young age, and, if so, to find out why. They discovered that one in four mothers believe that allowing kids to taste alcoholic beverages when they're young will discourage them from drinking recklessly as tweens and teens.
According to The Huffington Post, however, these parents couldn’t be more wrong. Past studies have found that fifth-graders who were allowed to have alcohol by their parents are twice as likely to report recent alcohol use in seventh grade, and those who begin drinking before age 15 are six times more likely to develop problems with alcohol than those who start drinking at 21. Yikes!

fyi, people who say they tried it and like it, a scientific study say that cigarettes and alcohol literally take the sheen out of your hair and it will be totally dull, idk about you, but that is a deal breaker

I honestly think that letting them drink sips of their parents wine or beer every once in awhile when they are young (say, before 10 or 9), it will help them not want to drink alcohol as a teen because they never tried it. I think this because I honestly have never heard of one kid at this age who has liked alcohol when they have tried some of their parents. When and if they are exposed to it while hanging out with friends as a teen, they can refer back to this memory and remember how disgusting it tasted.

No way! It smells horrible to me anyway, and I bet it tastes just as bad. I never want to try it. Yucckkk

That is kind of scary, but my parents don't believe in letting their kids try it before 21. One of my friends though when she was 5 she drank 5 glasses of "apple juice" because she thought that's what it was, but actually it was beer!
