Researchers studied 1,050 mothers and their third-grade kids to see if children were being purposefully introduced to alcohol at a young age, and, if so, to find out why. They discovered that one in four mothers believe that allowing kids to taste alcoholic beverages when they're young will discourage them from drinking recklessly as tweens and teens.
According to The Huffington Post, however, these parents couldn’t be more wrong. Past studies have found that fifth-graders who were allowed to have alcohol by their parents are twice as likely to report recent alcohol use in seventh grade, and those who begin drinking before age 15 are six times more likely to develop problems with alcohol than those who start drinking at 21. Yikes!

My paretns let me have my first sip when I was in 1st grade. it was Bud Light I think. Iwas sooo excite and I went to school the next day and told my friends. They were like, what's wrong with you? Don't you know that's bad? I know it's not now. I still love it! But I', not crazy. Like when my dad tells me only a sip I sneak a gulp or two. LOL!

I've had alcohol before. Mostly at weddings, where there's already champagne at the table though

My mom lets me dip my finger in the wine on new years eve/night always its ok like sour grape jucie shes been doing that since i was 6/7 years old. I don't see how people can drink alot of it though and i think the moms who do that r smart since the kids will always remember it tastes bad.

When I was younger, my parents let me taste a sip of wine. It was awful! I never want to drink it again!
